About L'Entrecôte Wine Bar

It all began for L'Entrecôte with its literally singular offering: a main menu consisting of only one dish, an entrecote steak served with a jealously guarded secret sauce that quickly gained fame for its brilliant flavour and, well, its singularity. On the strength of that steak, L'Entrecôte introduced L'Entrecôte Wine Bar, a less formal and less restricted French-style establishment next door to its big brother restaurant on Singapore’s Duxton Hill, the perfect meeting ground for Singaporean and European history, culture, and cuisine. Here you can grab a weekend brunch, platters to share, cold cuts and cheese, and choose from some great whiskies and, of course, Old and New World wines.

Further Information

Test the mettle of L'Entrecôte Wine Bar’s expert chefs by ordering up a Sunday serving of scrambled eggs and you won’t be disappointed. These guys are versed in French and European cuisine and know what you’re trying to do. They’ve spent many late-night hours perfecting the chef’s litmus test , and here on Duxton Hill they hit the spot, naturally getting it right but also, as it were, throwing it back in your face with a delicious plate of chicken sausage or bacon, salad, tomato Provencal and a fresh-baked brioche. Take that, skeptical Singapore foodies. And then move on to what else is on offer at Duxton’s premium little French cafe-bistro.

Unlike it’s big brother next door, the menu here is a rangy and more minutely compartmentalised affair; somewhat deli-style in its delivery, it’s peppered with a sometimes bewildering number of gourmet items and dishes. Naturally, bring a friend for support and, always, just ask. At L'Entrecôte Wine Bar you can pick and choose from distinctly European starters and platters, tartines, sumptuous fromage sourced from regional France, cold cut meats, smoked and pickled fish and Irish oysters, and desserts that won’t permit you to leave this charming Duxton Hill cafe-bistro until every crumb of creamed sugar has been eaten. As for the good drink on offer, L'Entrecôte Wine Bar stocks an incredible range of quality aperitifs to help you through the ordering phase, and digestifs for when the show’s over… Collections of whiskies and wines with vintages dating back as far as the 1950s are leavened by a fantastic – and affordable – number of wines from around the world, Old and New. Bookings? Essential for this special European restaurant in Singapore.

The service there is impeccable. Their staff attended to my friends and I with smile on their face and were extremely professional. I would definitely come back again

Wonderful, attentive service. Food is amazing as always! The cold cut platter (added foie gras) is really good value I think. Would be even better if there were more wines on happy hour.

Great location and lovely ambience inside and outside of the restaurant. We love the seasonal cheese, white anchovies in vinegar. Great wines and not too pricey (Singapore standard) - was great with the cold platter. We had a great evening.

Firstly, the steak did not wow me. But for that price it was ok. Signature dessert was yummy. Great service! Loved our server, all smiley and friendly. Would not mind for another visit! Come earlier to find a parking lot. But if you're too hungry, there is valet parking ☺️

The closest thing I could get to the original restaurant in Paris and London.. Wish the waiters had more knowledge about the cheese and wine. Overall a good dining experience!

Steak, steak and more steak - what more could any one want from one place. One place, one choice. Just one choice. Large or medium portion.

Food is Fantastic and service is good! However, should be more considerate when arranging seats for waiting customers. Nevertheless, will still patronise the restaurant again.

Restaurant was too warm; despite having air-conditioners, it wasn't switched on and we had to request for it to be turned on. Food is ok, the beer is exorbitantly priced.

The food and service was great! Like the steak esp, great cut, served with tasty gravy and unlimited serving of fries. These couple with prompt service, made the meal delightful.

The food was ok, atmosphere was nice but the steaks were not perfectly done to our preference. However the meal is reasonable and it's a nice place.

they have a good atmosphere and proposal, but over-priced for the quality of the food and the poor service. moreover, the air-con was not functioning well.
