Good atmosphere. Price is reasonable. Friendly staff. Recommended. Good place for romantic dinner or for small groups. After dinner still can enjoy drinks and music at the downstairs open air lounge.

Had a la carte dim sum lunch with 6 people. Service was attentive. Good quality dim sum but no dishes really stood out compared to other restaurants. Beggar chicken was very tasty. Overall, good food but overpriced.

Nice food, good service and great ambiance. My guests and I had a great time at this restaurant. Some of the dishes are truly unique. For first time diners, I strongly suggest you take the recommendations from the captain. We will definitely return.

They did not give me the WoW factor, couldn't find the justification for the gold award. Put it ordinary and the signature Beggar Chicken was not the usual salted chicken that I knew but it was just a herbal chicken wrapped by clay. Will be hard for us to return.

Very Good food. Very reasonable price. We paid about $100 per pax for a 8 course dinner including Peking duck and Beggars chicken. Highly recommended.

We had the s$68++ brunch buffet which was a good way to sample their menu. Some dishes were hits while some were misses. Hits: Pork belly, pig trotter with vinegar, egg puffs, boat style congee, all vegetable dishes, siew mai, duck, beef hor fun, fried radish cake. Misses: the soups, prawn dumpling, soft shell crab, steamed rice roll, curry fish ball were just too average and did not stand out. Overall good first time experience.

Great place for good Chinese food with a twist! Peking duck was amazing so was the beggar chicken. Place was on the dark side, could have been litted brighter

Very friendly staffs, patient with our queries and most of their recommendations were on point. They were also very accomodating, helping us with our order from the buffet stations. Food was very decent with my friend loving the very authentic pork in vinegar sauce. Portion control was good, which helped us minimised food wastage. A definate recommendations to friends. It is too bad the venue require to go up a flight of steps (friendly staff helped my friend with her baby stuff), otherwise it will be a solid recommendation for old folks.

Authentic, solid Chinese cooking via modern western presentations. Opulent furnishings but night-club style setting not entirely cohesive to the Chinese dining experience. Good food nevertheless.

Great ambience and attentive service, beautiful and comfy surroundings for an intimate dining experience. Quality and taste of food are not in sync with prices paid though.

Quality and taste of the food was generally good, but still fall behind the likes of Imperial Treasure (MBS), Tung Lok Signatures or Lei Gardens. The kurobuta char siew, anchovy kailan, fish maw shark cartilage soup and Australian lobster with steam egg-white were good. But the truffle duck was a total failure and should be taken off the menu as the duck was limp, just salty with the slightest hint of duck flavour being overpowered by the black truffle. It tasted like the truffle was the main and the duck was the garnish although it was meant to be otherwise. Main draw is its nightclub-like ambience which provides for a very comfortable seating and more conducive dining and winng experience, making one wants to sit there longer aftet dinner to continue chatting over a few bottles of wine. One complaint is that the music during dinner can be a bit too loud for good conversation.

There was a strand of hair in one of the plates of wild nepalese rice that came with the beggar chicken. We complained to one of the waiting staff, his exact words were "It will happen because it is wild rice". WHAT?? As for the price, a bit high for the quality and portion of the food.

Food is decent. Nice concept. Good for a night out of drinks and food. Happy hour is great! Unfortunately did not get to try their chicken, which requires pre-booking.

VLV offered some interesting items that are not found in the usual dim sum restaurants. We enjoyed the roast pork belly, assorted deluxe platter, carrot cake and lobster dumplings. Service was good and attentive while the ambience was chill and relaxing. A great place to have lunch.

We had a wonderful evening. We had a round table for 5 pax and it was still workable to talk. The food was very tasty and looked awsome. The staff is very friendly and did act perfect as my tea cup slipped and the tea pured down to the floor. Also the consultation on the wine was good. The interior of the downstairs lounge and upstairs restaurant is awsome. A great place for a special dinner. I hope this place keeps attracting the crowd as it is spacious and wonderful ambiance.

The price tag goes for the place and food presentation... but not for the food quality ... its pretty average. The Signature Disk - Peking Duck.. 1st Serviing is fine. 2nd serving .. The dice duck meat served on cone. The amount of meat used is probably 15% only .. Where is the rest of the duck meat ? S$ 55/- for half a duck is already very pricey...to shortchange on the duck meat on the 2nd serving is really bad taste. For the same amount of money, .. S$ 55/- I get a whole duck and 3 servings in a restaurant managed by a Celebrity Chef !! The whole duck is used up .. even the bones on the 3rd dish .. Duck+ Salted Vege Soup !!

The food is delicious, however we went for an all you can eat brunch, and the service was so slow that we didn't get the chance to eat much at all!

Modern Chinese cuisine. Beautiful restaurant. Don’t come expecting classic dishes and you’ll love it. The lounge area downstairs also works well for pre dinner or post dinner drinks

The restaurant had an elegant feel to it. Great ambience. Staff were decently attentive. There was an incident where my father had accidentally tipped his wine glass over and the 2 staff who were closest to us reacted with cat-like reflexes to clean up the mess. The replacement chair also came within 5 seconds and I thought it was with great attention that they paid to the overall experience of their diners. Food was definitely great! Only drawback was that the Kimchi Seafood Fried Rice was really just Seafood Fried Rice without the usual Kimchi punch. Otherwise, top notch!

It was a great dining experience. However, the place was a tad too cold and the food got cold easily. Perhaps should consider to adjust the aircon so that it is more condusive for dining.

My visit was much more pleasant without the rowdy birthday celebration downstairs which was real turn-off the last time. The food was great as usual but this time round the services from the waitresses and the kitchen were slow. One can see that the waitresses were rushing around from table to table trying to do their best. The food was also slow in being served. Our meal for 2 of 4 dishes and a dessert took from 8.00pm to almost 10.30pm. We had pre-ordered beggar chicken, and kurobuta char siew, peking duck and a soup. Considering that these are pre-prepared dishes, serving them should not have taken so long. Fortunately, my dinner guest and I had much to catch up so it did not bother us that much although the dishes were noticeably slow in being served. One of the waitresses did come around to apologise for the delay which was a nice gesture. Overall, the food may keep me coming back but if service from the kitchen does not improve them I may have second thoughts.

There is an event at the first level which was very loud. We could hardly hear each other. It will be nice to allow private room usage there wasn't much diners on that day. I think only 3 tables was used.

Service staff are well trained to recommend the foods on the menu. Ambience is very classy and spacious. Foods was served hot and it was beautifully garnished. When the food turns cold, they offered to warm it up for us.
