Busy staff, expensive food. I prefer the normal JB Ah Meng, crab party than the crabs here. One rickshaw brand teabag costs $3.50. And a cup of water also $3.50. The staff cannot be flexible to bring the hot flask of water to refill the tea and have to collect the cups of tea back to the counter, refill, and bring back to our table. And mix up all our cups😨

Great Crab. Staffs are friendly and helpful. But the choices on the menu are a bit limited.

Unique taste and good customer service. Place is too small so when crowded is v rowdy and noisy.

Overrated place. Have had better crab. The squid was burnt but under cooked. Taste bitter but raw. Service didn't exists. Had to remind them that we wanted water. We got warm tap water. The only tasty thing was the fried bun.

Overall food quality not too bad but there’s still room for improvement. Chilli crab lacks of flavour and fried mantou not crispy enough, too oily & soggy.

Service was wonderful and the Chili crab and Black Pepper crab were delicious! Would definitely return!

Upstairs has less atmosphere by a long way but food and service were great

Great 2 person combo! Amazing chili crab, grilled squid, crayfish, Shanghai greens, and dessert! Cool atmosphere and excellent service!

We went and had a set meal for 4 and ordered extra dishes for the kids. Kids absolutely loved the bee hoon noodles, we loved the chilli crab. But other outstanding dishes were the cereal crayfish and salted fish fried rice. The place wasn’t quite busy, so it didn’t feel crowded. Overall, would recommend and come back again.

Modern restaurant with young friendly staff. Food exceptionally well presented and very tasty. Love the small menu which ensures every dish is done well. Signature Chilli Crab to die for and butter crayfish amazing Lucky we booked as the restaurant was fully booked on a Tuesday night! If you are looking for very well priced crab in a groovy setting then this place is for you. Highly recommended

Food was amazing and came out quickly which is handy when you have a baby. It was a shame to see the staff standing around the counter on their phones though as numerous times we had to get up to ask for a napkin or another drink.

All around great experience. We tried the chili crab and black pepper crab. Both were excellent. Love not having sticker shock with market pricing!! We definitely would visit again and recommend to others.

I was very upset by the visit. the food was not very tasty, a lot of chilli in all dishes. very expensive for such poor quality food. but if today I would be invited for free, I would not go! I do not recommend this place to visit !!!

My wife and I are here from Australia and one thing on my to do list was have Singapore chilli mud crab. And Momma Kong’s was the perfect place for it the chilli crab was delicious and the staff were really friendly, definitely recommend Momma Kong’s to anyone wanting to try the famous Singapore chilli mud crab.

The chili crab and crab beehoon are both tasty. I was disappointed with the white pepper crab. It was not peppery enough and it tastes somewhat Thai. The prawn fried rice was a tad too dry and grainy. Momma Kong's would have gained my approval and thumbs up if it had provided free flow plain ice water for self-service!

This place seems to be frequented mainly by tourists and is clean, comfortable and pleasant. But I would disagree with the review by Lonely Planet. We were disappointed with the food as we have tasted better chilli and salted egg crab at other restaurants. The crabs were small as well as quantity of other items we ordered. However, service was good and it's nice that they take a photo and give you a copy to bring home for memories' sake.

This is the best meal we have had in Singapore by a long way, absolutely fantastic. The guys who run the place are very proud that they do and they have every right to do so.
