dishes was really nice and tasty and the ambience is good. Portion is unlike the normal zichar place so it is very suitable for 2~4 pax. Good place for couples who like to eat seafood. Only rehret is the desert, which may need some improvement.

Great restaurant with good prices and amazing location! The crab was perfectly cooked whereas at many other places it is over cooked. The chilly sauce was slightly mild but amazing and the mantou were very excellent (both steamed and fried).

Food was good! The crab was good and also comes at a fixed price so there is no bill shock. Atmosphere was also nice. Will return.

Chilli crab sauce is too diluted and not fragrants at all. Based on the price list I will not think is value for money. Service wise still consider ok.

Great experience.. Good service, we were celebrating my gf's birthday over there.. They brought in the cake(we bought it from elsewhere) with candle set and lighter ready.. They also change the background music to 'Happy Birthday' a well thought process by the staff.. Really appreciated.. Food was delicious.. My second time here.. Never failed our taste buds and craving for crabs.. *thumbs up*

Cosy restaurant serving one of best chilli and bee hoon crabs in Singapore. Must order the crispy spam chips. However, the vegetable were rather pricey.

Ordered the set menu for 4 with Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab. The sauce of the crab was a little twist from the normal chilli crab you normally eat, its more eggy and with a slight tinge of zest. The service was good except that the crab was not too fresh, meat was not supple. Overall still a great experience with Momma Kong.

Great food and good service! Took their signature dish the spicy chilli crab and it was really delicious. Pricing for the food was ok. So I will come back to try the other crab dishes.

The service was good and the food tasty although the chilli sauce tasted decidedly comercial. For this reason, not sure if it is “the best” crab experience in Singapore. We need to do more research!

The chilli crab is authentic, and the price is reasonable. Since the chilli crab is so good, I wont mind paying more for a bigger crab.

There were not so many people in the noon. Make a reservation and get a 20% off discount. I prefer the black pepper crabs rather than the chilli crabs.

Crabs were fresh and flavours are original and tasty. Value for money!

My favourite part of the experience was how friendly and helpful the staff were. The ambience was also very pleasant. However, the food just didn't seem to be worth the cost. The fried rice seemed a little low in flavour and the flavour of the chilli crab seemed nice, but I'd be content paying much less to eat at a cheaper place and have a far more pleasant experience. Also, the 20% off deal's terms and conditions are not clearly stated and I had to follow up with them prior to my meal to check that I had actually received it.

Clean modern canteen style dining, absolutely the best chill crab in China town. My favourite meal during our trip to Singapore. Really friendly staff. Brilliant service. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. We were able to make a reservation day of and our table was ready even though we arrived early. We highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to sit inside. Looking forward to our next visit.

Atmosphere and service is okay. The luncheon meat crisp is unique and tasty. Chilli crab sauce too diluted, thicker sause would have been better. The crab is fresh though.

Recommended here by the owner’s friend. Sorry to say, but it has one of the worst restaurant service I have experience. I reserved a table for 6 including a baby and toddler. We were offered a table outdoor with smokers less than 3m away. Request for indoor but was rejected due to unsound reason. During our whole outdoor dining experience, we, my baby and toddler have to put up with passive smoke. To top it off, the indoor space was empty with just 2 filled tables. Seriously?! You rather keep it empty than offering it to your customers? Well, I have no idea what kind of reasoning is that. Secondly, our deserts were not served even though we paid for it, “Meal for four” package. Yes, we may be absent-minded, but for employees working there, it is no excuse to remind consumers and serve what was paid for. Thirdly, don’t use quandoo.sg and don’t believe Momma Kong website offering 20% discount. It’s a click bait scam. We paid our bill at full price. Let me get this straight, if there is a discount, be straight forward about it. Don’t try to convolute the process in a chance consumers do not get it. Sure you may do that, but trick consumer once and it is the end of it. You wouldn’t get to see the consumer the second time. I rarely leave bad reviews, but in an hour of dining coupled with so many negative experience. It is just not right. As a business owner myself, this is not a sincere and ethical way of doing business.

Food here is always nice. Good for small groups. We usually order the set for 2, consisting of crayfish and crab, sides, dessert and drinks. That lets you try two sauces and adding one more dish feeds 3 very nicely. Butter sauce was just a little more watered down than usual this time. Reserve and confirm your reservation the day before via Quandoo - it’s a busy place. It was nice of them to let us stay for a chat until the next reservation arrived. Enjoy your meal here and skedaddle down to the bar along the same street to continue the chatter... the night is young.

Absolutely delicious! Tried the butter crab and the chilli crab with the steamed buns for mopping up the sauce and a side of asian greens. Everything was so delicious! Very messy, but that's half the fun.

The besst chili crab ive ever tasted. From the seafood itself upto the sauce, really worth it. Reservation is mandatory, for you to be seated inside the resto. Unless you want to be seated outside

The food are delicious and the place is comfortable. Would go again next time in Singapore. We have ordered the set menu for 4 persons and especially satified with the Crab and desert ( Durian ice cream) .

The crabs are fresh and well cooked. The fried buns are also among the better ones that I have tried as compared to other restaurants. Fragrant and big.

Decent food for slightly steep price. If anyone is to visit, I would recommend to go for the crab, the rest are just average. You might want to make a reservation before visiting as it can get quite packed during peak period.

We had the set menu; Chili crab, butter crayfish and Shanghai greens. The mantou buns were so fluffy and delicious for soaking up extra sauce. Not only was the food GORGEOUS but the staff take your photo for their photo wall and give you a print off of it with your bill, which we thought was just a lovely touch. A Singapore must visit for me.

1) Food lower than average. - black pepper crab sauce was too watery & not tasty. - sambal kang kong overly spicy, not able to improve after we feedback it to the server - chocolate wafer too cheap standard - the cost of the food too pricey, e.g. fried rice costs $19 per serving. 2) The ambience is ok but it's too stuffy, less ventilated, the table arrangements are too close, my friend tried to remove the meat from the crab & accidentally caused the crab shell to fly off and almost stained the consumer's bag which seated at the next table. 3) The staff's services could be better but constraints by the restaurant's policy. No free choice of cakes/desserts for our friend's birthday dinner celebration. Last but not least, we were given 6 mini birthday peach buns & a free photography, which we think are not necessary. The important thing for us is to enjoy the scrumptious food, especially for the crabs. This is very disappointing and we will not be patronizing this restaurant again. Rgds, Venus

The food is nice - one of the best i've tried in Singapore. The place is small but cozy. The staff are warm and helpful. The only thing is the aircon was blowing right at my cousin's head for a while. He feels headache because of that. Hope this can be improved! The other thing is the set meal - it will be great if there's an option for three =) The 4-person set is a bit too much for three of us.

Environment is good, staff is nice, food is great, but i prefer the crab to have stronger taste. May be it's just my own preference. Overall it's an satisfying experience :)
