Food was tasty. But ambience was bad because it's too noisy. Probably some sound-proofing walls can decrease the echo effects that caused the place to be noisy.

My wife and myself fell in love with the pumpkin soup especially when we ordered the executive set lunch. The salmon fish tasted soft and yummy. We will revisit the restaurant again

The food were average. Was a bit disappointed as it was my first time there (after looking a its reviews) with my friends but we are all not satisfied with the food. We ordered different pasta like the crab and ikura pasta and wild mushroom aglio olio, asparagus and wild mushroom, Soju BBQ Pork and the Chili crab asian buns. The food can be better.

Food and service is alright, but it'll be a lot better if they could serve the mains altogether. It was kinda disappointing that the first main and last main among us came 30 mins apart. Overall, waiters were pleasant and polite.

Food was okay, interesting variety of food that was new to me. Service was mediocre, staff sometimes forget our request e.g. of water. Ambience is fine.

Order went smoothly. Food was great and came at good speed despite the restaurant being about 80% full. Request to put sauce on the side for the dessert was carried out. No complaints.

the wait time was long, service was slow, waiter cleared our drinks when we have not finished, the pasta was very very salty. disappointing meal

It was good food at good price good location... but a rather small place where noise level is pretty high... The day we went was super noisy as one group was super loud like having a party in a club... that's the only thing... the other big group was also noisy but its the gathering kind of chatting, laughing kind which was understandable...

Had a lovely birthday celebration there today and we Love the food and ambience! Service is excellent as well. Will definitely be back again for more!

Food was good, especially the aburi salmon bowl. The lobster was acceptable, too bad they dont have lobster rolls anymore. Ambience and decor were great but unfortunately,service by the service crew was below average.

Great food, esp the crustaceans bowl and the service was fabulous as usual but skip the matcha lava cake and vanilla panacotta which deviates from traditional taste

only had set menu for Christmas eve. soup was not hot lobster soup was too salty appetiser was too heavy ( 2 buns with chili crab filling ) Main course portion was good but will not be able to finish it if you had taken the appetiser. Dessert was on the sweet side

Great food and great atmosphere for chillax meal. Have a good time with friends family or partner. But the set meals are not worth it, the ala carte is almost the same price

Good selection of food and drinks menu. Good location though a bit noisy so not suitable for a quiet evening chill out. First drink promotional price at $6 is a good deal!

The whole experience is nice. It is even better with cocktails at just $6 (one per customer). However, the menu is a bit hard to understand. The item is merely described with ingredients. So it would be much easily if pictures are displayed.

The chill crab bun is not as nice as I expected. I can hardly taste any crab. The shrimp bowl is a little too sweet because of the pineapple and the rice does not seem to go well with the rest of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the people in the restaurant are very loud, most of the time I am straining to hear what my friends are saying. Midway through my meal, I keep smelling some kind of gas, but I cannot identify what gas. I don't think it's a leak since I can only smell it once in a while. Overall, I am quite disappointed with my experience.

Food and ambience is as great as when i went there last time! We had the Rosemary Garlic Chicken and Onsen egg Cabonara. Great to see Platypus Kitchen to be able to keep up their food standard~ will definitely go back again :)

Impressed with the impeccable service. Very friendly and attentive staff although food in the set lunch was mediocre. Pumpkin soup and hot wings were good, though!

Party of 9. The service was good initially until the lunch crowd started trickling in. That was when our drinks after meal took quite awhile to be served (with much prompting). We had the lunch promo which we are satisfied with, in particular the half chicken. The sandwich could be warmer and the homemade pasta could be cooked in a shorter time. Will visit again for the chicken

Really good: right next to intercontinental hotel, had our reservation, prompt service, casual atmosphere, very nice food ( we shared the garlic and rosemary whole chicken), place was filling up as we left. Had just got off a long flight: highly recommended.

It was not a really pleasant experience. We went there for the lobster roll but they had a change in menu. Regardless, we had a 3 course dinner, and we found hair in the pasta bowl. Instead of acknowledging and apologizing first, they took the bowl away and came back and asked if we wanted a replacement and that's that. I wouldn't say its bad service, i just think i would have done more given a nose hair looking thing is found in my customer's pasta. They did take 10% service charge off on the bill. Pasta was so average. In my own experience, i would not return.

The double layered sandwich on the Executive lunch set was good value. Nice large portions and the French fries were one of the best I've had.

Its very easy to book your reservation through this website and you can even earn points. Good food, nice place and friendly staffs. Overall good dinning experience.

Service excellent, food excellent just that the soup served is not hot enough. Will be back again . Quandoo is a good place to make reservation too.

The food is generally tasty however It was a bit cold when it was served. That can be improved to enhance the experience for diners.

Booked Platypus Kitchen to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was great! The food was awesome - I ordered the pork bowl and loved it. My friends loved the food there as well. We also ordered a chocolate lava cake to share and it was the perfect way to end our night. My only issue with the place (why I didn't give it 6 stars) was that the wait staff are quite inattentive. Despite our best efforts at getting their attention for our desserts, to refill water or even for the bill, they only noticed that we were calling for them about 10 minutes later. They also took a pretty long while to come with our bill. Guess they couldn't handle the Friday night crowd but other than the service, we all really enjoyed the food there and would recommend it :)

Super tasty and not-your-usual pasta that does not burn a hole in your pocket! Ambience is nice and service is great. Highly recommended for those who have a pasta craving.

Great pastas and very substantial. Ditto on the appetiser. Chilli beef fries are something different. Tastes like local chilli paste rather than the usual Mexican chilli dish- a refreshing change. And the $6 cocktails are a steal. Would never pay the full $16 for those though.

First time there and my order have been serve wrongly😣 But overall still alright, food taste acceptable and the staff was friendly May recommend others to visit

Excellent food with reasonable prices. Extensive beverages list. Had the sharing dinner menu and the cocktail and beers specials. The lobster risotto was surprisingly good. Will definitely come back again.

Great food, excellent service! Love it! Had the grilled beef, which executed with perfection. The uni pasta was a little too watery for my liking.

Appetisers and rice / pasta was good. Steak not their forte, wise to skip. Otherwise pleasant experience, service was good. Restaurant could be abit loud inside with a full house..but still acceptable.

Ambience and presentation of food was very good but pasta was average. However desert was good, not too sweet. Alot of customers love aglio olio so if the menu can have more variety of aglio olio will be great.

Hard a hard time locating it, but luckily reservation wasn't given away after 15 mins (think they were too busy to notice we were late or pick up my call! LOL). Anyhow, upon arrival, was quickly ushered to the table. Food was also served pretty quickly after we ordered! Love their $6 first drink promo - should extend to all the cocktails :P

Food was quite good. Service was alright. The place doesn't seemean to be sound proof or be able to absorb noise. It was simply too noisy and we had to leave almost immediately after finishing our food.

The food was great! Pretry worth it for the price. Portion was quite big. The service staff were friendly. Overall, it was a great experience!

Food and ambience was nice. Staff were polite but one staff who seems to be new or a part timer not very experience -not familiar with the menu and trying to clear our plate when there is still food way before closing time.
