not cheap but nice ambience. need to book in advance as limited tables unless you wish to sit at the bar (which is actually not a bad. choice at all!)

Food was very good but portions were quite small. We had the daily lunch set with tapas and main course. There was no choice for 4 courses, only 3 or 5. I would have taken 4 (including snack or desert) but 5 would have been too much.

Delicious creative food, cool ambience. Not very convinient bar chairs. Book in advance, to avoid disappointments. They have great lunch menus options. We will be back.

This not just about a good restaurant but an amazing dining experience, particularly if you sit at the kitchen bench. This allows you to observe the theatre of the mercurial head chef and his assistants who all work in syncrinisation to deliver wonderful dishes. This was our second time in the last twelve months and nothing had changed.

An old favourite that continually innovates to make it feel like a new experience each time, Chef Carlos and his team always make you feel comfortable and I also like to get a close up view of people hard at work..!

perhaps expectation was high from all the positive reviews. food was ok, but not wow. service was lacking at times, perhaps due to the good business.

When we arrived, the guy on the door actually did not care that we had a reservation for inside, mhe said that it doesn't matter, its where ever is space and went outside with us. However the table which he wanted to seat us was occupied by people which wanted to move inside at first but than decided to stay outside, so we went in again and got squeezed in the corner. Food was ok, nothing to write home about, portions very small and therefore not a good price value. The octopus is max a60 gr. Portion and its a main course. It was our second time because we enjoyed the first time, but we will not return. To many other good places in Singapore.

Every dish was a picture on a plate. The interpretation of traditional Spanish food was absolutely outstanding. Flavours were exceptional, as was the service. Highly recommended.

Great service and good food though I would say the salt level was a little high for my tastebuds, particularly in the cannelloni and paella.

Nice restaurant, good food ... However, it's a bit on the pricey side for what you get, they were out or ran out of several things (e.g., the pig and cava), and the service was a bit slow (but very friendly).

The food was fantastic. Prawns, Lettuce, Paella where wonderful. Presentation fantastic. Service was spot on. But.. bother my wife and I were extremely thirsty after the meal and absolutely parched the next morning. I'm pretty sure they don't put MSG. We didn't eat anywhere else that night. Maybe a bit heavy handed on the salt. Not sure if anyone else haso experienced this.

The best way to enjoy Esquina is to go with someone who is a little adventurous with food and has the tastebuds to match. I was with a friend who fitted the bill to a T. We skipped the set and went ala carte. Yes, a little pricey but it was so good we will return.

Excellent food, chef's table, great choice, this was a very good experience. Vegetarian choices on main course very limited (just one) unfortunately. Wish they could expand the vegetarian menu.

Great service... Good quality of food. Music was a bit too loud, which makes conversation a bit hard to hard. Pricing a bit on the high end.

Despite the competition, this is still the go-to place for tapas in Singapore! The Spanish Nigiri and the Saffron paella are the 2 dishes (among many) that keep me coming back! Highly recommended!

Plate after plate of brilliantly executed tapas, coupled with live action by a capable kitchen crew (they were constantly busying themselves with something, it was pretty amazing to watch!), the most attentive kitchen staff and a relaxing & casual every-night-is-a-friday-night kinda atmosphere. It is no wonder that Esquina remains so popular despite being around for such a long time (we all know how most restaurants' hype die down after awhile). We had the mini spanish breakfast, sea urchin, chorizo croquetas, jumbo prawn (a daily special), saffron paella, grilled octopus, beef cheeks (the only item i wasn't wow-ed by), sangria sorbet cones (on the house), banana beer ice cream. Honestly, many of these items were mind-blowing. Just when we were full and satisfied, and our plates cleared, the staff brought out a slice of warm raspberry cake with a lovely "Happy birthday!" written on the plate, much to our surprise. I had told them earlier when reserving seats that I would like a nice table for 2 as I was celebrating my other half's birthday, but had never expected this sweet gesture from them. Our bill came up to about $160, and I'd say it was well worth it, for the food, vibes and service. Thanks Esquina, we enjoyed our meal here and left very impressed!

Great lunch, well worth the money (for the set lunch), friendly chef open to feedback and was promptly seated at the bar. Signature sea urchin / crab / lobster bisque was a tad too overwhelming though in terms of taste - couldn't quite discern the flavors.

Esquina never disappoints. As always, the food and service were both great. It is a nice place to take your significant other or your first date.
