Overall ok except that the waiter recommended the wagyu beef cheek over the duck confit. The beef though tender, didn't taste as good as the duck.

Good value set lunch with generous serving of seafood for the pesto sauce pasta. Service was prompt too. And the Best part was - no gst!

The service is very good. I had the sous vide beef cheeks which was very good, but my friend's pasta is average. Place seems a little warm, maybe aircon had some problems.

food is good esp starter ( foie gras, scallop) and mushroom soup. as for mains, tenderloin is good (med) but sauce is too salty. lastly valrhona choc cake is yummy😀 food a bit pricy if without any promotion; dining place is very warm - was told kitchen oven broke down causing some fault to the aircon.

wagyu beef cheek and miso cod were awesome. duck confit a little dry. sorbet was very refreshing. even the ice water was nice as it was infused with blueberry.

Overall the restaurant was quite lovely, very relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Food was nice, but not stand out dishes. Good Lychee martinis and reasonably priced wine.

Nice food and service. It would be better if they could improve their dessert selection for their set lunches. Portion is just nice for me.

A restaurant with nice setting, serving good food, especially the set lunch. Particularly like the Herb Crusted Hokkaido Scallops and Deep Fried Crispy Calamari. Will go again in the near future.

Pleasant and soothing ambience. Food was well presented and tasted good too :) Loved the scallops & the baked chicken leg - lovely crispy skin! The beef was delicious too! Overall- worth a return visit!

Not sure if it was the increased crowd capacity during valentine's day, but the waiting time between courses is long and the air was rather warm at the ground level. There seems to be some lack of manpower to service a full house at the restaurant. The food quality was also average, we found the fish overcooked and tough to chew. Overall I'm a little disappointed with the dining experience.

Cosy environment. The appetizers are good. Can forgo the soup. Cod fish is recommended. Tenderloin ordered is a bit tough. Overall quite satisfied with the overall service.

Staff's service was impeccable on my visit on the 20th Feb 2016 (5/6). Food wise, the truffle foie gras and kurobuta pork belly was nicely done (5/6) but can't say the same for the duck confit that i've had (3/6), apparently the standard for the duck confit has dropped since my last visit at the end of 2015.

Excellent taste, fabulous service. This restaurant is top notch with reasonable price. Definitely underrated. Decor is simple but provides a cosy and comfortable dining experience. Well done.

I wasn't told that the restaurant serve strict Valentine set menu, and no al carte. There should have been a pop up or message stating that. We sat at our table and diasapointed about that, although they have good menu, but we didn't want to compromise on set menu.

The weekday set lunch was reasonably priced and has many options to choose from. Good food and nice ambiance. Service was fine. Overall a good experience.

the food was excellent - great taste and presentation, perfect size. The king fish was exceptionally well done! the service was poor - no one refilled our wine, the waitress was inexperienced (could not direct us to the restroom) and we asked for the bill 4 times before finally receiving it. I believe the manager needs to delegate more to her staff to cover all the needs of the patron. Leverage your staff to do more than simply refill water. This place has great potential if the service is improved.

Enjoyed the service and the good food here. We had red miso cod which was fresh and juicy, as well as the lamb rack which was done just right. Definitely will be back again!

Had the 4 course set dinner. Fantastic service by Mr Chandran. He explained the elements of the dishes and how best to enjoy each course. Food was up to expectations. Overall great experience in a cozy violet themed restaurant.

We had the 3 course set lunch. Overall we all thought that the food was good, the service good (the waiter was friendly and after realising it was a birthday lunch made an effort to jazz up the dessert for the birthday person) and great value for money. Wine was reasonably priced and house pours decent.

Staff was very attentive and helped to provide suggestions for the food. Food was delicious and interesting. I particularly loved their bread and parsley butter that was made in-house :)

Me and boss had enjoyed our lunch over there. Service and food is all thumb up from both of us as it was the first time there. will be back there anytime soon. =)

The food matched my expectations, duck confit was very well marinated, the flakiness of the cod was superb and the service was really good. Will patronize again for sure.

Some months ago, 8 of us had a really fabulous lunch here. We were satisfied with high quality and innovative cuisine food. The interiors were beautiful & tastefully decorated. I returned to host a business lunch for my 3 guests.. However, it is very sad that the quality of food had gone completely downwards, with overcooked & tough meat etc. In both incidents, there were only one other table of customers. It appears that little volume of biz is driving this restaurant to a poor state. It is so pathetic that such a good restaurant does not get strong customer base and it has spiraled downwards.

Food is mostly good. Staff attitude varies. Details: The staff that served my table was great. but during book, They requested for my credit card details over email (for a booking over 8 pax) which I of course refused. I called in to speak with them, but that employee had a real bad attitude. I tried explaining why it doesn't make sense to send my credit card details over unsecured email and he scornfully say "I don't see what's the problem with it."

The food was great - very flavorful and well presented. We got fantastic value for our lunch. The people were super friendly service. Must go!

My partner and I really enjoyed the whole dinner experience - from the ambience to the food to the service. We hope to go back soon again!

Love the dining experience I had. I made reservations for 4, failing to realize that kids are not allowed. When I reached with my 2 boys, they didn't reject us but welcomed us instead. I'm thankful for that. Throughout the dinner, the staff was not just attentive to the adults but also to my children. Food was great too!

Super yummy, great price and good service. Fancy food/fine dining that is reasonably priced. Wine list could do with more options by the glass but that's the only critisism. Totally worth a visit, I will go back for sure.

We enjoyed our dinner at Violet Herbs. The service was excellent. The food was tasty and well presented. We felt that having dinner at such place on weekdays evening enabled us to have a pleasent meal without much disturbance from big crowd.

Food quality, presentation, and Service are excellent. The staff took the initiative to explain each dish when they presented the food. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends, and will visit again. Hopefully, the choices of main course on the set menu will be changed periodically or increased. Thanks.

Overall a pretty good experience. Food was not perfect, but presentation was excellent. The beef tenderloin was exceptionally good. Worth a second visit sometime soon!

Great find at the corner of Tras Street. I had the set lunch which was very reasonable given the quality of food. The miso cod fish is one of the best I've tried. Beautiful interior and attentive staff as well. Would definitely recommend.
