Beautifully quirky decor and a great value set lunch. Mango scallops absolutely divine and the barramundi delicious. Would have liked a lighter dessert option but passion fruit tarts were yum! The blood orange and strawberry infused iced water was an inspired touch. Service was faultless and with a smile. I'll definitely be back for lunch again!

Excellent meal and good service, will definitely return. A good extensive menu, the food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the restaurant also has a lovely ambience. Just a shame they closed a little early.

I went to Violet Herbs for lunch with two friends and we enjoyed the dining experience. The food was just right in terms of the portion and was good value for money. The service staff was knowledgeable when asked about the items on the menu and was attentive to our needs.

The dishes good, portion just right except we were disappointed that there was no set for weekends , why ? This is where most dinners will come . However , service excellent.

It's a cozy restaurant. Delicate food. Good service. I think the dessert menu is a bit too limited to chocolate based though. Nice experience overall.

The food at Violet Herbs food was good, but the restaurant was empty. The service was fantastic and we loved the Jerusalem Artichoke soup and the red miso cod.

Service is good with explanation on each course served. Food is with quality and tasteful. A bit pricey though - depends on what you order- can range from $80 to $100 per person for a 3 course meal (foie gras, soup, beef). Location is acceptable - Just a 5 mins walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT. One area to improve is the Aircon - it's pretty hot, it would be nice if the place is cooler (the last time I went - Aircon broke down), today it was ok but warm. Overall a nice dining experience.

Amazing service, stellar food. Was a quiet night (Labour Day Monday) and the staff were very attentive and took the time to explain the menu and each dish in detail. Not overdone, though. Just right.

My experience at Violet Herb was underwhelming. For the cost of the dishes, I was expecting better quality food. The deco in the restaurant is tacky and for a Friday night, the restaurant of that size with so little customers speaks for the lack of quality in their food. I will not be returning to Violet Herb again.

Great food and dining experience. Staff are polite and explain each dish before serving. They also take the tendency to check if we want to order any more dishes. One point to note is that they failed to refill water.

The food was very good. They changed my main course because it was extremely salty without any problem. The service was great however it would be better if they could get some cushions ready as back rest for smaller ladies. The sofa seat was very wide and I am not tall so the it was quite uncomfortable for my back.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was very quiet, and the staff were very quick to respond to us. We ordered ala-carte items as the dinner set menu isn't available on Friday nights. We were offered some bread and a tasting portion of mash potato with some kind of olive seasoning. We had the Truffle Foie Gras for appetizer, and Mushroom Cappuccino for soup. Don't worry if these sound very rich to start off the dinner, as they serve a palate cleanser before we start on our mains. For us it was the strawberry sorbet with grapefruit, very very refreshing! My boyfriend ordered the Sous Vide Duck Confit. The duck meat was very tender, it tore away from the bone so easily, and the herb potatoes were cooked well - added another layer of texture to the dish. I had the Roasted Chilean Seabass, which I really enjoyed! The seabass was nicely and slightly crusty on the top, revealing such fluffy and tender flesh just underneath. The mushrooms and bacon, together with the yuzu butter, gave extra crunch to each bite, and tied in all the flavours brilliantly. We also ordered the Violet Sensation and Violet Desire cocktails. The former was sweet, and the flavour lingers on with each sip. The latter was more minty and refreshing, with a hint of the rosemary herb. We really enjoyed our dining experience at Violet Herbs and would definitely recommend this to those who want to enjoy fine dining in a very comfortable yet not off-putting setting.

Very good service from the staff: attentive and warm. Food was fantastic - duck confit meat was moist and the miso cod was juicy with oils. Almost a full capacity on a Thursday evening. Better book in advance.

The warm herb bread roll served as our starters was delicious. For our mains, we had the red miso cod and duck confit and both dishes were thumbs up - presentation and taste wise. Appreciated the mango palate cleanser in between our appetizer and mains. Service could have been a tad bit more attentive though.

Came during lunch time, tried the set lunch. Lovely ambiance, food was a delightful mixture of flavours that came together very nicely. A lot of thought into the dishes, including food plating. Service was good, friendly. We had a complimentary mango sorbet which was also very well done. We will be back to try the A La Carte menu.

Pleasant dinner experience, in a restored old 2-storey shophouse; nice ambience, quiet atmosphere, attentive service and interesting menu. The "signature" dishes which were recommended by our server, were indeed very tasty, eg. roasted foie gras, cold angel hair pasta, miso red cod. Desert choices were less interesting, but adequate. Overall, a very nice place for dinner..

Went dinner with wife on 1st apr but set dinner only apply to Mon - Thu. So hv to order ala carte. Ambience is good. Like the Foie Gras with poached egg, tiramisu, artichoke soup. Main course duck confit, think meat bit dry and too salty. Ebi angel hair is fine. Crowd : not full house at ground floor. 2nd floor not sure.

Great set lunch menu at a reasonable price. Fruit infused tap water, mint butter, and flowers on the desserts are just a few of the special touches and attention to detail. The lavender decor is not overbearing and adds a classic touch to the delicious french food atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Overall a good experience. But the bread was served late. As a result we didn't really have much time to eat it before the appetizer was served.

Great introduction and presentation on the dishes. Good service and relaxed ambience. The saffron herb bread and herb crusted Hokkaido scallops were good but the summer mushroom aglio olio a tad too salty for me but was otherwise good. Parma wrapped chicken breast too dry though.
