Platypus Cantina - Bugis

Experience is good but the Mac and Cheese was too overwhelming in the end. Could only finish 2/3 of it. Grilled chicken also good but there are some leafy thing that was not edible.

The starter and ribeye risotto is nice:) staffs are friendly and responsive too! However the pork tenderloin was rather dry and the dessert was too sweet In our opinion.

the food was great - we had the laksa risotto and rib eye quinoa. the coffee was good too, and i really liked the truffle fries.

Food is very good. The place gets loud when there are a lot of people. I was unable to hear my friend when we talked.

The ambience and service was good. There was a complimentary dessert and crew singing when my friends celebrated my birthday there. But my friends and I thought the food wasn't that great. Average I would say.

food quality remains good. except, I think the tables need to be cleaned better. i brought friends who have not been there for lunch today, on the table we spotted roaming ants.

The food and service was great. The rice meals were delicious and just the right portion. I would like to go back again to this place.

It’s my second visit to platypus. The first time, we ordered from the a la carte menu and we loved the food. This time we ordered from the set menus and though they were decent, the food wasn’t as good as the first time.

Great food, love the taste of baked lobster and their spread of mocktail. Good for hanging out with friends.

Food was average only, to be honest it was below our expectations as we saw quite nice pics and some decent reviews on the restaurant and food. One other gripe is the restaurant is too hot. Maybe due to the large doors that keeps opening and closing.

Food was delicious, especially the handcrafted pasta. Love the sets for 2 although I wish they would include a selection of maybe 2 handcrafted pastas. That would make the set a sure winner!

The food for 3 course meal, does not have much choices and not much dessert to choose from too. I have gathered some feedback from my friends, and they mentioned that the food wasn't tasty. The mac and cheese was a bit sour and the burnt taste was heavy.

Fixed set menu for Christmas through New Year was pretty average. Quantity was more than enough. Taste was not too bad. Service was so so.

Great ambience, food was amazing and drinks were too. Handmade pasta was the highlight for the night. Celebrated a birthday there and they had amazing service.

They serve very Good food at more affordable prices. Set lunch can be more varied though. Consider adding risotto and other meaty dishes for the set lunch

Had the 4 course Christmas lunch set. Good quality and friendly service. Could taste the freshness in the house made pasta. And the pound cake dessert is well made. Lovely experience.

Our first time to go. Fresh pasta and flavors were very nice. Good food. Packed on a December Wednesday night so noise level was a little high.

The food was acceptable but will prefer it to have more varieties as some items are seasonal, so may not be able to try it during certain period of the year.

Mantou, lobster risotto taste good Dessert is excellent Lobster bisque is too salty, gave immediate feedback n returned after tasted two spoons Pork tenderloin is bland n hard. Only ate 2 pieces out of 8 Roast chicken looks nicely roasted but too bland. Service is good. A bit disappointed overall

My companion and myself were overwhelmed with the speed food was served when we ordered the 5 course seasonal meal for sharing. We had barely started on the appetizers when all the other dishes less dessert was served to us. When we finally got down to starting on the other dishes, the risotto was already cold which we felt bad. Overall, we felt that this could be managed better. Otherwise, the overall experience was good.

Promptly served upon entering restaurant. Food was huge in portion and yummy. Price is right. Ambience can be improved, tables were placed near to one another. Overall a good experience

A wonderful dinner with polite and attending service team. Love the food and drinks, especially the full day $6 alcoholic beverages. One slight room for improvement would to include more varieties to their menu to cater to non-seafood consumers.

A nice quaint restaurant with wonderful. Conducive for small gatherings and meetings with friends. Extensive menu and affordable drinks ( all day $6 alcoholic beverages).

The food and service were excellent. Good quality food and promptly served. It just got a little too crowded and noisy. But overall highly recommended!

Service was inattentive, we couldn’t get their attention without waving like lunatics for ages. Forgot our coffee so after 15 mins of waiting, we cancelled. Though, no Low-fat milk on offer, in spite of telling them over a year ago that this should be a no-brainer. Saving grace was that the food was good.

Ambiance of the restaurant is good, however, I waited for my orders for more than 45 mins because they said they 'miskey' my orders. This is the only one downside experience for me there. They could have come over to everyone's desk every now and then to check if all orders are up but they didn't. Definitely require further improvement.

Loved the food and the service was excellent! Celebrated my brothers birthday there. The staff even came out to sing a happy birthday song. It's not really a family restaurant as we were the only table with kids but the staff were very accommodating. Kids dine for free on Sunday! So we will be back on a Sunday instead of a weekday lol!

I wasn’t expecting too much, but the Asian inspired fusion was fantastic. Food is a little heavy in taste so try to eat some thing lighter during lunch!

It was a good experience. Ambience and service provided was acceptable and I didn’t have to wait long for my food to be served. Will come back for more.

Always love their iron cast chicken. The new side of beef Chili was tasty but without any spiciness. Will give it a try again next round!

Service was abit slow due to large crowd of diners, however, they manage to surprise my friend with a birthday dessert which she was ultimately delighted! Recommended for their food and ability t cater to special occasions

Reasonably priced and great quality pasta. The freshly-made egg tagliolini is interesting; loved the lump crab claw meat! At this place, you get tasty and creative dishes at affordable prices!

We were there for a weekday lunch. Food was good, consistent with our previous experience at the restaurant, and we especially enjoyed the ribeye and truffle bowl and pan-roasted pork tenderloin with sweet garlic goma sauce - the meats were done perfectly. The all-day $6 house pours and cocktails were a bonus since we did not have to wait till happy hour to get reasonably priced drinks.

Platypus Kitchen is a great restaurant with excellent service, good food and great service from all staff. I would definitely come here again for a romantic evening

Pretty decent food.. need to improve on the speed of service.. a good place for casual meet up and dinner with the family members and all..
