The portion of the food was acceptable but the ambience was bad as the restaurant was rather noisy and I could hardly hear what my partner was telling me. Despite it being busy, the speed of the service crew was still very efficient in serving my food. I would still go back for their food again:D

Great value dishes for their taste and quantity! I had the lobster bisque, chili crab linguine and lava cake with vanilla. They were all fantastic! The other menu items look delicious as well when my friends ordered them.

There was a huge table celebrating their friends' birthday and were really loud. My 3 friends and I were placed literally next to that table. Food was good but on the high side, the vegan pasta could have had more linguine. Not sure if there was a separate vegan menu but hopefully there's more vegan options to look forward to in the future. Service was prompt and good.

We enjoyed the food very much! Everything tasted great! We ordered drinks halfway through dinner, but it was quite a wait for something so simple. We thought they’ve forgotten our drinks. The overall ambience was comfortable. Lighting was just nice. Not too dark that we can’t take nice photos of our food. Overall a good place for a casual dinner with friends.

The food quality was great, and even better tasting at the price it was. Service was good, for my liking a little overattentive, but I don't like people so... The only other gripe is that dessert was served just before I'd finished my main. These are very minor gripes, and I would not hesitate to recommend or go back to Platypus Kitchen. I think it's one of the best that I've been to.

Great food, lunch menu is value for money. An ideal spot for a quiet business lunch or quick catch up with pals. Word of caution to serving staff, to be mindful the orders. We were served much later than our next table despite being seated and ordering first.

Place almost fully reserved with few big groups of diners, thus abit noisy...can't really hear my girlfriend while we chatted.

A great venue if you want to get away from the busy lunch time crowd in Bugis area. Food was delicious but the price can be a little bit cheaper for lunch deals. Nevertheless, always happy to be back.

The foods are up to standard especially the sea salt fries. They can work on their seating so that everyone has more privacy.

Food is great. Yet the service disappointed me. Trying to simply get water or your drink that you ordered with your food is almost impossible. Moreover, my 2 visits there, featured basically trainee waitresses. Go there with the aim to eat the good food. For service, make sure you're patient and keep reminding them.

We celebrated Father's day in Platypus Kitchen. It was our first time in the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent!

This is the second time I visited Platypus Kitchen at Bugis Junction. And made my reservation through Quandoo App for the first time. The App is intuitive, fast and efficient. These are an important attributes to create great user experience for more people to use. We reached the restaurant around 5.00 pm. We were the first customer at that timing. Perhaps, it was still too early for dinner. We were warmly ushered to our seat and presented with the menu. Around 5.30 pm, customers started to flow in. By 6.00 pm, the restaurant was fully packed with customers. The presentation of the food in the menu is aesthetically appealing to my senses, which is certainly a plus point to elevate my appetite. The food that interest me the most are Truffle Carbonara and Crustacean Bowl. To reassure my selection, I asked the server for recommendation. Indeed, they are the top and popular choices of the customers. Without further hesitation, I ordered. I was full of anticipation for the food which I ordered to be served. Soon, the truffle carbonara and crustacean bowl were served to us. True enough, the presentation of the food was exactly the same in the menu. First, the Truffle Carbonara with sous-vide egg that was cooked at 63 degree celsius to create a wobbly effect, aromatic shaved summer truffles for an exquisite taste, pasta cooked in al dente form and smoked bacon bits, were all the main ingredients that add value to the simple and yet popular dish. This is in particular to the overpowering taste of the truffles that made it even more outstanding. Next, the crustacean bowl with fresh, juicy and plump crab claw meat, poached boston lobster, infused with sea urchin uni butter creme and creaminess of aburi cheedar cheese and honey ponzu atop the exquisite cavier, are all the key selling points of the rice bowl. Of course, no meal is complete without a sweet temptation - dessert. I ordered the Pure Chocolate Lava. It was luxuriously fiiled with 66% dark chocolate with flowing lava when sliced, crunchy chocolate ganache, sprinkles of cacao soil, drizzles of chocolate sauce, and complemented with a cooling vanilla ice cream - hot and cold combination. Indeed, a heavenly choice to cleanse and delight my palate after main course. Definitely, Platypus Kitchen at Bugis Junction is one of the restaurant under my top lists which is worthy for my visit for their service excellence and awesome food experience.

Great tasting: Lobster x Crustacean soup & Salmon Caper creme pasta. However, the Sous-vide chicken was not evenly cook. Dry on the mid-section but a tad under-cook on the inside.

Food are with good portion and served within 10-15mins. Staff are friendly and patients with our order. In fact we have revisited twice so far and will definitely comeback again.
