Awesome ambience with great service. The spaghetti was homemade and you are able to choose your favourite pasta and sauce. Most importantly it is affordable

It’s pretty average. Better than most But nothing to write home about. The place is a little small so it feels quite claustrophobic at full house, constantly making way for people trying to order or grab utensils or moving staff. Staff was super friendly and helpful, they were kind enough to point out if certain pasta combos don’t work well. Food was average. I had the mixed seafood fettucine. The staff recommended it over parpadelle cause she mentioned it will clump parpadelle. Well it didn’t matter cause ny fettuccine was undercooked and I had hard clumps of pasta anyway. If you’re going to spend around that price for pasta you might as well eat at Pastaria Abate, or top up a little more and enjoy Ah Bongs. If you want to spend lesser, head to Old Airport’s pasta stall for tasty generous cheap pasta.

Great pasta at affordable prices. We had the pesto spaghetti and tagliatelle with porcini and white truffle. Both were great. Will come back to try more.

2nd visit to Pastaria Abate, had the Truffle Carbonara on my 1st and it was really truffle, so good I yearn for it. However, it was slightly disappointing on my 2nd, did not had the same truffle as my 1st. Also ordered their special Garlic Aglio Olio, it was nicely done.

Service is good! Everything is nett price so it's kept affordable! However the pasta tend to get clumped together when we tried to mix it. They might need to fine-tune the pasta texture or the cooking time.

The pasta itself is the star here, as most of the pastas are made fresh daily! The sauces are surprisingly light and taste very homemade. This is a great place to experience a taste of Italian mama cooking. Prices are very reasonable and the pinot grigio is good and only $6.8 nett!

Homemade pasta was different from any other pasta places. It tends to be a little bit stickier but flavours are good! We’ll be back soon!

Great pasta. It’s self service but that’s their way of keeping the prices low. Very nice little place, walking distance from Tanjong Pagar mrt. Will return again.

The Sicilian anchovy with angel hair pasta was spot on! Will be back just for it! And the seasoning for the calamari was good. Will be back for more!

The staff is friendly and approachable.. I like the concept that it is a self-service Café.. tried the chicken and avocado tagliatelle.. the pasta is super thin and chewy.. It would be good if the sauce is a little bit more as the pasta sticks together and seems like “western version dry mee pok”.. Tried the martini grilled pork as well. The martini sauce is strong and not too overwhelming. It covers up the “pork smell” and yet can taste the “juiciness”.. Tried the portobello fries. The batter tastes quite special and it really complement the portobello well.. Tried the lemon tart.. The curd is slightly sweet and sour, with nice fragrance.. However the tart is soft and I personally would prefer a more “firm and lightly crisp tart edge” .. Overall the food is delicious.. Will be back to try more of their pasta..

Great atmosphere to chill with friends, but really crowded on friday nights, book your seats! Pasta portion is quite small for the price you're paying. Not a fan of their fries either.

The food are reasonably priced, and the Al Ragu Pasta I tried is nice. This is a place where you have to collect your own food when it's ready so that explains why no GST is charged. Dessert like the Lemon Tart is not well done nicely. However, overall, the experience is satisfactory.

Affordable and rather decent offerings at Pastaria Abate. Customizing your own pasta was also painless. Ordered the Egg & Prosciutto with Tagliatelle which was good, the Martini Grilled Pork was tender and succulent too. Though initially the portion looked pretty small, it was overall quite filling. Each plate was good for one.

Went there for lunch. Food choice is abundance, and staff is quite helpful. Not that crowded thus easy to find seat to settle down. Food is good, however the only negative point is that serving of the food is slow, thus it's more suitable for dinner gathering where rushing back to office is not require.

Went with some old friends. I wasn't very impressed with the pasta (I ordered the meatballs with fresh pasta). Felt that it was too sticky and that there wasn't enough sauce,so it made the entire eating experience mediocre.

The people are nice, the portabello fries taste great. The down side (probably for that night only) are the sudden power trips that happened twice. Like the ambience and food, will come by again!

Cheap and affordable handmade pasta place. Felt that the egg pasta was a bit clumpy and that there could have been more sauce in the pasta. However, this place has much potential and I will be back

Overall, it was pretty good food and rather affordable too! The meatballs were a little bit salty though. But would come back again to try more of their homemade pastas!

With all the hype, one would expect more. The Carbonara was not, as claimed, "some say it's the best in town". Nonna wouldn't be proud.

cosy environment. great music. fuss-free, order from counter, take a buzzer and wait for your food. would be better if there is a wider range of drinks selection.

Food was good and prices are very reasonable. However, I think that maybe because the restaurant is still quite new, it suffers from some teething problems in terms of service . For instance, we ordered 2 pasta dishes. But the second arrived almost 45 minutes after the first (which in itself took 30 minutes to arrive). Also, what was on my plate did not look anything like the restaurant's photo of tagliatelle, nor what we understand tagliatelle to be. Rather, we received what looked like hastily cut up pasta sheets. At least they apologised for the delay. But we were too tired/hungry from the wait to dispute what was eventually served for the second dish. As a result, I'm not sure I'll be craving to return anytime soon.

good food and homely ambience. the bosses are jovial and lovely. the food tasted better when I visited when they first opened, perhaps it is the new chefs getting used to the whole system....

This is a no-frills restaurant which requires self service. Service was quick and the food was delicious. The decor is simple and nice with great ambience music.
