Great first experience! I really liked the ambiance of the space and the waiters were very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the pork tenderloin as the main dish and it was super delicious. Definitely recommend dipping the baguettes in the pork tenderloin sauce too!

Merci Marcel's dinner menu is made for sharing. We ordered the cheese croquettee, red snapper and seasoned mushrooms (this is really good!). Will be back for their brunch!

The staff and ambience of the place were lovely as usual! It would be great if the dinner menu could be slightly more extensive though as I did feel like the choices were slightly limited. A great place to dine and catch up with friends after work!

Nice ambience for café. Wish that the breakfast menu could be a little wider and has some vegan options. Service staff were very attentive and helpful.

Food was great, service was awesome. However a little too warm at the patio area when the sun is out. Can't wait to be back to try the rest of the menu!

Their food is nice. But I feel it is more for sharing than having individual main. The seat is way too small. Insufficient space to place my food and drinks.

It's one of the heat lunch places to try out good quality meal around Tiong Bahru corners. Indoor aircon not cold enough. Quite crowded and noisy in lunch hours. Sometimes it's worth to try new tastes once a while though it's not inexpensive.

Food was pretty authentic for French cuisines. The price point seemed reasonable for the portions served. Wished they gave a bread basket after taking our orders though - as most French dining places would!

We had the angus beef which came medium rare instead of medium which we specifically requested for. The sautéed mushrooms was the outstanding item for this dish. The marinated crab tartine is a “must” to order. The savoury spread went very well with the sourdough toast. The marcel salad is another surprisingly winner, love the cornichons which help to bring out the bursting flavour of the dish.

Good service, great food. However our sharing plates weren’t completely clean, and we had trouble getting the attention of the staff for more utensils. Otherwise a fantastic place to chat and chill with friends/family.

Excellent service - attentive but not intrusive. Delicious food - highlights were the French dumplings, and the chocolate cake. Also the Espresso Martinis were amazing. A really lovely evening out.

The atmosphere and vibe were great. Food very nice also. The only downside was the super cold air conditioning that was exactly aimed at where we were sitting - both me and my husband caught a cold..

Overall experience was good except that the waiters or waitress kept dropping by the table every 15min or so to ask any new orders even though we had ordered alot and just finished the meal, ordered additional coffee and dessert and was catching up with my friends.

Food was great but service leaves much to be desired. Could improve on serving time and staff training to be more attentive to customers' needs instead of chatting among themselves.

I actually received wrong order from waitress. I stated that i am going to have seafood main dish so I need white wine. End up it serve as red wine. I actually paying extra for red wine. But since it serve, I think I didn’t want it as waste so I drank it. Kind of bad experience eating with seafood. Gilled chicken and pork tenderloin were not impressed. The red snapper was very good. It just tgt I had bad experience pairing with red wine. Good and cozy place. Mostly the staff there are nice.

Great menu, lovely setting and brilliant ambience. It’s a shame the maître d had such an unwelcoming manner. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Delicious food, and gorgeous desserts. The Angus beef was great value, and was done very well considering the cut. Must have the croissants ~ they taste as incredible as they smell...

Food and service was good at this cozy restaurant with a little setback on the poor air conditioning. It really got pretty hot nearing the end of our dinner which cause some discomfort.

Staff should have a little more situational awareness - we wanted to place our order but two signaled to us to wait as they went to attend to a party of two looking for a table. Food was flavorful but would have been lovelier if pizza was available on that day we visited.

Food was excellent! Wait staff are really friendly and I think Marcel (or at least a French person who looks charming enough and doesn’t wear a uniform) comes out to serve food to customers too!

Both food and coffee were good. Service was prompt and attentive. Wait staff was apologetic about item which was not available but could be better if a note was posted on the menu to avoid wasting time.

Amazing ambience and food! Not your typical run of the mill cafes with mediocre food. For afternoon tea we had crab gratin, fries and passion fruit creme brulee, all of which taste as good as they sounded on the menu. Will revisit for lunch/dinner some day.
