It really is a very pleasant place to sit and it’s excellently located as well, right on McCallum Street, just down from Telok Ayer MRT. So whether for a casual meal or a slightly more formal occasion sampling delicious international dishes, this is one Singapore restaurant that won’t disappoint and has all the bases covered.
For lunch we’d really recommend the Asian-inspired rice and salad bowls at Ash & Char. We love the grilled striploin with a sous vide egg; glazed teriyaki tofu or the salmon filled with torched mentaiko, ikura and a sous vide egg. Later, sample tapas dishes such as fish karaage topped with mozzarella; crispy calamari served with kale; the assorted battered mushrooms tossed in truffle oil and Chinese-style pork sliders.
