Chill and relax experience with interesting food and beverage selection. Although poke is the specialty, the chilli dog tasted surprisingly good. Food price around $16-$22.

Food is fine with quite reasonable prices. I like the poke bowls. Staff could be more attentive but they were understandably swamped by the crowd. It was a good experience overall with delicious food and good ambience. I would come back again if I'm in the area.

The food was really good! We tried the umami omega, wildcard poke and the chicken sandwich along with a set of carbo load. Accompanied by the amazing view of esplanade's waterfront, everything was above expectations!

2nd visit and this is going to be my pre concert dinning joint!!! ordered the double patty burger and pulled pork sandwich... and sat through a 2.5 hours forbidden city by Kit Chan... feels like in heaven already!

Pretty good experience. Service was alright/acceptable despite being a full house. Second visit to alter ego! Will return again in future still! Cheers x

Good view of MBS, cafe was pretty quiet and food was quite satisfactory. A good place to catch up with friends with some beer and fries.

Great food and drinks for an excellent pricing. Absolutely worth and I really enjoyed every minute there. Seasonal drinks never cease to amaze and keeps the menu interesting.

We had various of poke bowls, they were great, light and fulfilling. Lattes and ice tea were awesome too, in additional to the friendly staff and services!

Poke bowl portion is big. Nice ambience. Probably the only setback was the seating was too little. However it is worth to go and try.

Great fresh food. Great staff.Recommend pulled pork, pizza fries and any of the yummy poke bowls. Love the decor and the real wood trunk stools!

Food was good, I had the original poke bowl and the fish skin. I booked prior so was easy to get to but service was average. Waited 10 minutes for them to return to pick up my card to make payment while they all sat chatting at the counter

Excellent service with super polite staff! A few of the appetisers I ordered were sprinkled with paprika, which was a tad too spicy for me; food was yummy though. Thumbs up! Will definitely be there again :)

First experience with Alter Ego for my bday! Staff on duty were all efficient and welcoming. Side note, Thank you for arranging the glass panel low seats, i enjoyed the little fireworks!

Welcoming service with friendly and attentive staff, along with great food and ambience. Lunch sets are also available on weekdays, at a pocket-friendly pricing of $15.90 onwards with a main and drink. I decided to go for the ala carte menu and ordered the Southern fried chicken sandwich (which turned out to be a burger instead), cornflake french toast and loaded taters. My favourite dish among all was the southern fried chicken burger which comes with a huge slab of deep fried chicken thigh topped with nacho cheese and ranch sauce, sandwiched between soft buttered brioche buns. It also comes with a side of tangy purple slaw and honey butter cornbread that was luscious with a soft, crumbly texture resembling a pound cake. A great and sweet change from the usual fries/wedges. The loaded taters was sinful albeit enjoyable, deep fried mini bite sized hashbrowns loaded with a generous amount of spicy jalapeno cheese, sour cream, chives and bacon bits. Would prefer if the sauces are served separately though as the tater tots below had turned soggy and lost the essential crisp factor. The cornflake french toast was crisp and coated with cornflakes that provided a pleasant crunch factor, filled with a spread of white and dark salted chocolate ganache and served with butterscotch banana slices and macerated berries. The fillings of chocolate ganache could have been more though IMO, tasted pretty mediocre and akin to a typical chocolate spread without any hint of saltiness as stated. Though prices are pretty steep for the dishes here, it's worth a visit for the ambience and quality of food served!

Food was good and priced decently. Portion not huge, but generous with the salmon sashimi, which is great. However, they seem quite understaffed, so the service was slow.

everything was great! service was fast and efficient, especially love the pizza fries there. After making payment, one of the staff told us "Hope to see you guys back at Alter Ego again!" and I felt that this was a good gesture.

i did not enjoy the spicy poke bowl as the spice was too overbearing to the point that i did not enjoy the rest of the dish.

Happy hour rocks, and theres a 15% if youre watching a show at esplanade on that day! Food was good, table was a bit small for 3 but it's fine, was cosy.

We had the poke bowl, grilled cheese, pulled pork dip and the fish skin ! Food was good,especially the grilled cheese - our comfort food . Definitely will be back, hope to see more new items on the menu though. especially clean eats :)

The food was wonderful along with good service. Would love to come back and try the other poke bowls. Every ingredient blends so well together, plus the sushi rice was delicious!

A restaurant with good view. Fast clearing service and good food. Just that the price is quite steep. Overall, enjoy dinning in there for the first time. :)

Staff was attentive and helpful. Our orders were taken quickly and food arrived quickly too. Staff also helped us take photos. Food is excellent and priced reasonably.

Friendly people working there. Food is good as well! We ordered the original shaker poke to try and it was really nice and fresh. The lime wings are good too!

Like their Seafood Gumbo. My friend's pokebowl looks nice too, just a little small portion. Drinks are not my kind, except the fruit tea choices. Desserts are not much special and definitely can be better.

Went on a Sunday evening with my friends. The 250g Salmon with tacos on the menu works for me. Yum! Good service and ambience by the bay.

Food was good. Only blip was when ordered a particular type of cider (which they did not have and had been replaced with another brand), the server did not inform me and processed my order with the new cider. I was only later informed by another server when the pint had already been prepared. Overall, will still go back because the food is pretty yums :)

Great service, ambience, view and food selection, but raw fish in poke bowls can be fresher. We will be back to try out other items.

Food was very good - had both the poke bowls and the shortrib cheese sandwich. Didn't have to wait long for the meal and service was good too! Would definitely recommend.

It was an average experience at Alter Ego. Service was prompt and staffs were friendly. Pizza fries was good when eaten hot, it turns salty when cold. The Original Poke Shaker and Umami Omega pokebowls were not bad, Chilli cheese dog wasn't that fantastic though it was recommended by the staff. The portion for chilli cheese dog was disappointing, considering it's the same price as the salmon bowls, it came with a small portion of coleslaw & curly fries. There was a 10% discount for UOB cardholders.
