Feels like an old Japanese Italian Resturant who serves a lot of different kinds of food. The interior brings u back to old days

A very special place that still weighs your steak cut in front of you before cooking it and flambés dessert at your tableside.

Visited The Tavern Restaurant for a lunch meeting with my cousins! The food was good, and the portion was more than enough to feed the 5 of us. I will definitely return again for the food and atmosphere :)

Quite disappointed with the menu and service. Several menu items and picture mentioned on the online reviews are no longer available. Extremely overpriced and for the quality of the food. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and when the bill was presented to us they had charged the price of 2 bottles. If we had not checked the bill we would probably be overcharged. Not recommended.

Clasdical atmosphere and scrumptious food. I tried mini steak but 170g to 180g, good enough. We wanto come back to try foie gras.

Exquisite food and service. The Japanese Wagyu just melts in your mouth. Also tried the escargots, foie gra, fresh oysters and cod fish. Will visit again!

The Tavern has that air of Singapore back in the 80s/90s. Like a Fosters or something. Service was personal and this is one of those places that still wheels out the slab of Beef and slice it to the size you want your steak to be. Also, one of the few places that wheels out the Crepe Suzette trolley and makes it in front of you. Always good food here.

Nice cozy place. Great service, simply love the quality of food served tho quality comes with a price. The lunch time deals are really good value for money.

Steak was fantastic. The price is as expected for a premium steakhouse ($180 for two persons for a 150g steak each with one appetiser). The sides that came with the steak were acceptable but not great. However, the experience was marred by the strange hardselling by the owner, to first, order a more premium steak, then a bigger portion of the steak that we chose, and finally, to order their house dessert (some cherry dessert). No doubt they are proud of their best dishes but it was not polite for them to show their visible displeasure when we did not follow their recommendations.

Service was excellent. And more importantly, the food was awesome. Had the steaks and escargot, best steak I ever had. (Almost most expensive, but worth it)

The Tavern was an institution for many years but has since gone downhill. The food was nothing special and the service wasn't great. The restaurant is in serious need of a refresh. Hope it can get back to what it was like in the good old days.

Quaint restaurant. Service was impeccable! The cherry jubilee is a must try! The portions was reasonable for the price. Steak is cut and weighed right in front of you.

The quality of the Australia Wagyu Beef is awesome but the wait is too long. I am guessing it may be due to the V'Day surge.

Excellent service and attention to details! When they found out that we are there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, the staff penned a card to congratulate us! The boss himself took the trouble to prepare the crepe suzette for us. Amazing!

Splendid! Perfectly executed racclete, lamb chops and fillet steak (done to medium rare as specified; the newer restaurants need to learn how to do this!). Try and score the table for two outside!

Reasonably well-cooked steak and a decent cut but similar quality can be had for less at other steak houses. Ambiance was lacking, menu fairly small,

Soft drink is way too expensive, $8 for a small glass of coke. Had commented on my booking n called to confirm that they r aware of my husband's birthday. Mentioned there will be a complimentary cake but did not do anything at all. Im disappointed. Food wise, foie gras was good. Prefer jap wagyu over australian.

Bill came to $600 for 4 of us and I have to say from the decor and overall experience I wasn't expecting that as I've been to top restaurants in SG which came to less. Staff very nice but I'd not go again.

A warm and cosy restaurant with traditional colonial styled setting and decorations. It immediately relax you and put you at ease. The foods and services are unbelievable fantastic! Despite its astronomical food prices, it is value for money.

We've been dining here for more than 20 years, and we order the same dishes: raclette, sliced veal Zürich. Crepes suzette and cherry jubilee are flambed tableside.

The Japanese beef steak is excellent. The service is very personal and friendly. They even noticed that it was my birthday and wished me happy birthday with a slice of cake, a song and a card. Very pleased with the service here.
