Came to see what the rave is about but left disappointed :( Medium doneness steak tasted rubbery; and for a small piece of strip loin it's overpriced at $26! Service was almost non existent though it was 3pm and at least 5 staff were seen at the restaurant. Well at least I'm no longer curious lol.

really disappointed that the online menu is incredibly outdated and there's no accurate current online menu to be found. however the food made up for it especially the spectacular desserts. mains were pretty decent

We enjoyed the Sunday Roast dinner very much - the food was good, the crockery a little quaint. It can get quite noisy, however, when there is a big group in the house.

The Sunday roast was great. Staff were friendly. However, it was a bit disappointing when we were told we were not able to order extra portion of the Yorkshire pudding. Restaurant knew the influx of people for the roast. Should have prepared extra to meet the demand pr additional order.

My wife & I went there for Sunday Roast Dinner. Our table was small and near the entrance door where wind from air-con directly hit. Staff and main dish was OK but pudding was burned. Dishes/ plates were too simple and look like those used in a jail.

Service was great. Food was good. The Catch of the Day was Beetroot Cured Salmon, which was very nice and goes very well with the toast that came with it. The truffle fries were big and yummy. Portion for kampong chicken was huge enough for 2 persons. Ice creams and sticky date pudding (which also comes with 1 scoop of ice cream) were great. They were playing blues in the background which I like but my aunt hated.

The food is good. A very cozy place to hang out with friends or colleagues to end our busy day at work. Perfect for a small gathering!

The food was of great quality! Highly recommend the Sticky date pudding! The portions are huge so sharing would be a good option for girls with smaller appetites. The wait for the food was rather long, and we were starving while waiting. However, overall this was a good experience at The Lokal. Friendly staff. Will be back again next time!

Busy place in the evening but Cosy still. Requires booking even if two pax. Quality of food is as good as before. Will def be back

Good food good service table was slightly small drinks are expensive beef cheek is recommended. Skip the lobster linguine and fish and chips. Truffle fries were ok

Prices are in the mid range but the food is awesome! A good variety to suit the local tastes without being overwhelmingly atas. The Kampong Chicken and Beef Cheeks are delicious. They ran out of vanilla ice-cream for the dessert and replaced it with Honeycomb ice-cream, making it too sweet though.

The service staffs are friendly and attentive. We were satisfied with the food as it was pretty delicious. I will definitely visit Lokal cafe again.

I hope there are more desserts on the dinner menu and include some of the popular brunch dishes in as well. I love the brunch menu best. Simply miss the brunch desserts and stuff.

Great food, ambience and location. It was not too crowded on a weekday night. However, it is a bit pricey if we weren't using the entertainer app.

Made a reservation for 3 pax but was given a small table for 2 pax. Guess there is a mixed up somewhere as the lokal mentioned the reservation was for 2 pax even thou quandoo shows 3 pax correctly. But staff was nice to quickly change our table to a bigger one.

Food quality is pretty good ! Made with heart and soul and fresh ingredients instead on relying on premixes. Would love to see chef churn out more variety .....maybe do a monthly or weekly specials.

The overall experience is good! I really like the food and the service was great! However, my guest and I personally felt that the seating is a little awkward.

Place has limited seating capacity so tables are close to each other. The place has good ambience. Floor manager was attentive and friendly. Food is good too.
