Unfortunately the restaurant was very noisy due to a nearby table speaking extremely loudly, which affected the overall experience. The food is affordable and it’s a good place for large group bookings. However, splitting the bill was quite difficult. We asked if separate billing or even just adding names in the remarks was possible, but the staff couldn’t accommodate it. They didn’t say it was impossible, but it was still quite hard to arrange

I recently visited Shuukuu Japanese Izakaya and had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with a nice izakaya vibe that made it a great place to unwind after work. The drinks selection also paired well with the food, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the evening. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall, it’s a solid spot for casual dining with friends or a laid-back date night. I would definitely come back again.

Food was pretty good! But slightly pricey. We liked the other dishes more than the sushi. That was not great, the rice was mushy and didn’t taste seasoned. Other dishes like yakitori were good. Service was quite prompt too. Noise levels were on the higher side there were times we couldn’t hear ourselves. But understand because it’s an izakaya place that happens.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. The yakitori was a disappointment. Chicken gizzard, the different pork skewers - the meat were tough, hard to get them out from the sticks; marinate fried silver fish - was chewy, a spoiler. black ink squid and silver fish were good. The price of sake starts at a premier price, ie. >$100. there's no list, no price tag - solely on staff recommendation. Appreciate they allowed tasting before purchase - but I reckon there should at least be a price tag for all the bottles.

The food selection was good, but the sake options were very limited. The noise level in the restaurant was extremely high - it made it difficult to enjoy the meal. I hope the restaurant considers improving the acoustics to create a more pleasant dining experience.

Went over for dinner yesterday, 17 May for a celebration with my colleagues (just four of us). The food was good. While the portion can be slightly bigger, I guess that's the usual Izayaki style. The only thing was that the inner restaurant noise was a little unpleasant as the other table whom had a larger group was slightly loud and roudy, due to excitement and alcohol consumption.
