Often referred to as the restaurant in the sky, thanks to its location on level 55 of ION Orchard in the heart of Singapore, Salt Grill and Sky Bar offers modern, wonderfully simple Australian cooking alongside panoramic views of the city and sea. This is the flagship restaurant in Asia from Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Mangan, and as of August 2017, the kitchen is helmed by new head chef, Jake Kowalewki. On Orchard Road, Salt Grill and Sky Bar is an elegant spot for whatever your occasion might be. It also has quite the buzz around it so it’s certainly best to reserve a table in advance.

Went there for a special occasion and was not disappointed. Restaurant has a fantastic view and food!

The lady who served us provided excellent service. She was attentive & offered to take pictures for us as it was me & my partner's 24th anniversary, though disappointingly we didn't manage to get window seat though not all tables were occupied.

An extremely passionate head chef and amazing views of Singapore are enough to entice anyone to visit Salt Grill and Sky Bar, and that’s before we’ve even started talking about the menus. We’ll begin with the a la carte which perfectly reflects Chef Jake’s ethos of letting the ingredients he uses do all of the talking. Enjoy caviar, oysters or raw meat delicacies like beef tartare or scallop ceviche, or consider some prime Australian meat from the grill. Main courses on the a la carte range from New Zealand king salmon with scallop ravioli, lemon puree and uni, to dukkah crusted Australian lamb cutlet with braised shoulder, spiced eggplant, labneh and sumac.
We mentioned that Salt Grill and Sky Bar is ideal for any occasion and that’s because it also offers a lunch set menu that is astonishingly good value considering the quality of the food being served, as well an exquisite eight-course tasting menu. To round things off, let it be known that the restaurant’s extensive wine list sources the best wines from all over the world, and every cocktail from the bar is hand-crafted.
