Good food and convenient location in the heart of Orchard Road. Menu has a great variety. Will not hesitate to return again!

Ootoya never disappoints me, food is authentic Japanese cuisine with material and ingredients from Japan, carefully prepared by chef and served by friendly staff…. Always a good dining experience 👍🏻😃

Love Ootoya’s Japanese food, the chefs are mostly Japanese, they make authentic Japanese food. Even the simple Toufu salad is absolutely delicious, toufu is made in-house, fresh and yummy. In fact, almost every dish is great!! 👍🏻

Always a heart and inexpensive meal here in Ootoya. I wish their Misoton is still on the menu.

Staff members are friendly but the restaurant is clearly understaffed - waiting time was long for desserts and we didn’t get served our water even when they acknowledged so.

I have been to Ootoya in the past and found it really good but this visit was sadly disappointing. Half the menu was unavailable and the restaurant was so understaffed the poor team was clearly stretched to serve all the customers and still attend to the clearing and cleaning of plates etc. It took ages to get anyone’s attention and they were rushing around to get everything done. The food that was served was okay, but standards have dropped and the organisation of the restaurant left much to be desired. Really hoping to see some changes in the future but it will be a while before our next visit.

the food was ok but not really value for money

Not sure why we had to wait nearly an hour before our 6 dinner orders were served, perhaps they were shorthanded. Food wise, portions were small for the prices charged; fortunately they tasted quite good. May return to try their lunch promos which seem more affordable...
