An intimate restaurant with great good and excellent service. Can't fault them ! Keep this restaurant small and intimate. Chef coming to check on our food is always a delight !!
I went there with my friend. They were having their holiday menu. The food was tough, dry and unappealing and the service was terrible; the waitresses were talking really loudly amongst themselves in the restaurant.
Service was excellent and ambience cosy. We enjoyed the starters, but the duck confit was disappointing. Though the skin was nicely crisped, the meat was somewhat dry. The cheese ravioli was very well-made and tasted awesome with the ratatouille.
Food was good but service as always was impersonal. Nice update to decor making it brighter and more lively. Will return but hoping service staff could be more personable
The people ,food and services is fantastic. The ambient ia good. Will definetly recommend this restaurant to my friend to patronise. Thank you to all the staffs!
The environment and food are beyond expectation, the staff are polite and nice. The combination of food, environment and staff make the guests comfortable and respected.
French onion soup and black cod were really nice! Service staff in red uniforms were helpful but the manager (??) was a lot less friendly.
Nice ambience and great food! Would go back again for lunch or dinner. They even helped celebrate my friend's birthday. Recommended to all! :-) .
Attentive service as waiter took the initiative to top up my glass of water without any prompting on my part several times. Good meal and the onion soup is definitely a classic!
Staffs are not trained. Wrong serving of food from other table, which then left on our table and the same plate served to another table again, wine served into the glass at the back then brought to us, etc. Disappointing. Substandard for a french restaurant.
Great food and ambience! Staff were friendly and responsive too. I highly recommend the scallops. They have a very value for money set lunch too.
Went for their set lunch menu with a party of 4..some hits & misses for the food..the foi gras, onion soup was great. Main course duck confit was way too salty..ribeye steak for both my guest were very unevenly cooked. The crew tried their best to attend to us but seems short handed as we needed to seek their attention like other guests around us..
Firstly the service was very efficient and friendly. The food was good though the mussels are a little too salty(we had the curry flavor). Dessert was amazing! We had the apple tart and soufflé.
My order today : Foie Gras starter. Ribeye main course. Great chocolate tart with coffee to finish the meal! Overall good value for a lunch time treat!
I went for the set lunch , we order beef and duck, food is good as usual and the most important thing is very affordable
chef Laurent was friendly and made good recommendations. Pace of food was nicely spaced out. We enjoy the cozy atmosphere and had a good evening. Will definitely be back again
Nice restaurant with excellant service. The food was very nice with reasonable price. Was there for wife birthday dinner and ambience was good too. Definitely will go again.
The location is great, in the heart of Orchard but not facing the main road which is quiet. Ambient is nice, staffs are friendly and helpful. The food is nice too!
Excellent and great value set lunch there today. And the creme brulee is to die for, arguably the best in Singapore! Well worth a visit, especially for lunch.
The pan seared scallops were delightful! The escargot was a little bit of a let down, as it was a little bitter somehow. The iberico pork shoulder was divine! Soo good! No wonder there were so many positive reviews about it online! Beef cheek was pretty yums. And desserttttt, the apple tart was soooo good. The pastry was perfection! The souffle was a little meh coz the grand marnier could only be tasted at the base and it got too much at the end.. but overall the ambience was really nice and service was delightful :)
Ordered their 3-course set lunch which used to be very value for money. Unfortunately, standard seemed to have fallen. Same food, but prepared without passion. Was rather disappointed.
Staff were attentive and delivered efficient service. For a french cuisine lunch, 4 of us felt meal of excellent quality and overall decent value, variety.
Would be great if service person is even more attentive to what diners is missing or need ie butter, coffee serve no sugar given and missing items from order. Remind still not serve and had to chase again.
Overall was good. A small minus point where the waiter comfirmed a few times about our orders yet still not sure about the distribution. Seems there is a problem for in their communication.
Great meal as usual. But the standout is the polite and efficient service in a crowded week before Xmas with every table packed. Attention to detail like refilling water glasses of regular water show they are also not just in it to take most from the customer. Full marks!
Excellent food as usual - must-tries - French onion soup, duck confit, steak frites, truffle mash and creme brulee.. Unfortunately, the foie gras and Hokkaido scallops were a tad overcooked today, and one of the service staff's tone was rather curt when asked to serve the birthday cake which was meant to be a surprise. Nevertheless, a lovely dinner overall.
It is a small place that can be noisy when full. Food quality is just above average. Toilet is too near the kitchen if customers don't close the door after use.Overall, a pleasant experience.
The restaurant serves great food and wine. The interior of the restaurant has a nice setting too. Prices of the food and wine are reasonable as well. Definitely worth visiting.
Attentive derive with a typical French bistro menu. Moet of our meals were spot on and I especially recommend the beef cheeks but did not rate the Iberian Pork. It was very tough, like it had been boiled, but it clearly hadn't as the spices on it were nice - - just the meat was tough and chewy. Overall, however, a goo 'go to' local.
Rather Basic, The foie gras terrine was made of duck than was not plucked completely from feathers. Cosy little place though, but dont expect high class french bistro.
Great food, big portions, good casual atmosphere too. Only thing was that the food comes too quickly after the other. They should space up a bit more, or ask.
Lunch sets are value for money. Rustic French food (nothing fancy or out of the ordinary), big portions for the price and good food. Ordered mushroom soup, duck confit and chocolate tart (all good) while my partner ordered duck rillet, grilled chicken and apple pie (good but apple pie is ordinary).
The service wasn't great, neither was the food. The food at the Zion road branch left such a good impression it was disappointing this time round
The food and service were great. The girl had a smile on her face the whole time and was very attentive. I would recommend going there
Flavourful and delicious 3 course Set lunch priced at $35++ which is of great value! Very cozy ambience and the Servers were attentive, good service. Overall experience was good. Will definitely return to try other items in their menu.
The food is great, the ambience is just alright. However, the staff should be more knowledgeable on the food & wine they serve. That will improve their service.
Good food, value for money for 3 course set lunch at $35++. Service is also good with staff clearing the used plates and provide a clean set at every course. Good coffee too. worth a try.
Bistro Du Vin serves nice and hearty french dishes at reasonable prices. Wine list is fairly extensive. Service staff were friendly and attentive. My family will definitely be back.
Good Italian to fall back on anytime. Affordable wine and food
Excellent service, even on a busy Valentine's evening! Steak turned out on the rare side, but service recovery was extremely prompt. Desserts were excellent, as was the wine. Not our first time here, and definitely won't be our last!
As always, I had a wonderful dining experience at bistro du vin. The food and wine is always amazing. Lovely ambiance with good service. Will recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy good French food!
Good food, good ambience. Worth to try. This is one of the best french food i ever try. Thanks for the surprise for my boyfriend.
As usual a great pleasure to eat in this restaurant, french atmosphere, foods absolutely wonderful , high quality of service. i spent every times a wonderful moments .one of the best best value for money in town
Delicious and traditional French food. Had the mussels and duck confit. Duck was tender and skin was crispy. Would have liked a bit more jus on the side but it was delicious. The mash potato with leek was a discovery! Beautiful. I like how authentic and minimalistic they are. Wonderful and attentive service from the French manager too. Amazing Grand Marnier Soufflé! Fluffy and exquisite. My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience.
great service and food at reasonable price great service and food at reasonable price great service and food at reasonable price great service and food at reasonable price
Food is simply fantastic and tasted just like home cooked food. Will definitely come back here again. Liked the atmosphere as well with good music
Food was fantastic. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed. They served our bread with out butter. We had to ask twice for it. Our escargot also came without the proper serving forks. Overall it was still a pretty decent experience.
I visited Bistro Du Vin on 30 December 2016 for dinner. I ordered pork, my husband ordered Duck Confit, Pan seared scallop for the appertizer, Lava Chocolate, Grand Marnier souffle for the dessert. We love the food we ordered. The ambience is nice and excellent service. Definitely will come back to this restaurant again.
Hearty portions... So bring your appetite! Unfortunately we had no space for desserts after ordering one main each. Beef cheeks were divine! Soft and tender! But the duck breast special was nothing really all that special. Stick with the tried and tested - French onion soup and beef cheeks!
nice staffs, nice environment and good food at affordable price. If you want to try some french food with value for money, you should try this one. If you want to have some fancy experience, go to Les Amis
