always enjoy the environment and atmosphere here with a broad and classic French style menu, lots of crunchy French bread and wine by the glass, carafe or bottle.

Nice ambience, good service, but mediocre food for the price we paid. The steak was sliced too thinly, the fries and mashed potato weren't fresh.

Food is ok. French brasserie style with medium size portion but no vow factor whatsoever. For the price you get way better alternative...would personally give it a miss.

Set lunch was very much worth the value. The portion sizes were not sacrificed as some places do. Highly recommend the French onion soup and duck confit. Service, ambient, reception were all fantastic

Very good food. I had the set lunch, which comes with an entree, a main, a dessert and coffee/tea. The cauliflower and potato veloute was full of flavour. The cod with egg and sourdough had a mellow taste without being too sweet or rich (no 'fishy' taste). The creme brulee was also wonderfully done. All in all, I am very impressed by the high quality of French cuisine at an affordable price, and will surely come dine here again in the future!

The Pan-seared foie gras, griottes cherries in Argmanac is absolutely delicious The duck leg confit is very well cooked, still moist and yet crisp on the outside. The cheese of the day is simply titillating on the palate and nose. Will visit soon.

Food is good but the whole experience seems too casual. A table of 6 diners sharing a French onion soup!!! A food court? Enjoyed my meal though.

Our waiter was particularly knowledgeable about the dishes and happy to make recommendations. The food was solid French cuisine although it has been for some years prior to the renovation and installation of a bona fide French chef. We thought the previous one was pretty damn goood too. Prices have risen but is the new cuisine worth the hike? Only time will tell!

It was a good experience. We had Good food with great service with a smile! We were looking for a bottle of wine but noticed not too many people in service knew about the wine selection- something they can possibly improve upon considering the selection they have

Food was excellent, especially the pork chop and beef cheek. Mash potatoes as a side was so smooth. Wait staff was very attentive. There's a few more private 2 seater for more romantic atmosphere but in general, the setting is cosy. The tables are packed quite close together for some areas.

Great food, space, and service. So good to see Philippe back in his element, and Chef Laurent doesn't disappoint in the kitchen! My only quibble is that the staff were not as knowledgeable about the cheeses as I would have liked, but that was remedied when the chef came by to speak with us. Will be back soon!

it is my 2nd time at bistro du vin and the lunch sets have changed a bit. the beef bourguignon is the star of the meal with its tender beef and huge servings. the service is great compared to the last time i was there. hopefully there would be more choices of desserts in their lunch sets.

Foie Gras was good - my wife had the Wagu Rossini- not good quality and very chewy but they had the good grace not to charge for it - she also had a green salad which was limp and tasteless - normally my wife would have had a Gramd Marinier Soufflé for dessert to finish off the meal but decided not to chance it due to the previous disappointments all in all we feel that Bistro du Vin has gone downhill - we have been coming here over the years on our visits to Singapore and sadly will not be back.

Not my first visit and prior to this, I have always had a great time at BDV. We had the very affordable set lunch. Started off great with foie gras and home smoked salmon salad. Both were great and the salad was very refreshing. However, my chicken basquise main was really lacking in terms of flavour and the cook time. The chicken was overcooked and dry and they gave chicken breast. I am a huge fan of chicken breast but I felt that it was really too dry to the point that I could not eat it. The beef bourguignon had great flavour but, again, the beef pieces could do with more cook time. We ended off with a creme brulee. I would return, but I do hope that this experience was due to the fact that they just reopened. Hopefully, they iron out all the inconsistencies soon. (:

It is hard to find a French restaurant in Singapore which has the good combination of great food, service, atmosphere, at reasonable price - but I am glad to say Bistro du Vin is one of them! I ordered 75++SG$ Chef's "Omakase" 3 course menu, shared with my friend. This turned out to be an excellent 6 shared course - starting from 2 appetizers (White Asparagus in season, and Sardine on Pie), 2 main (Lobster Risotto and Grilled Pork) and 2 Dessert (Apple Tart and Crème Brulee), and Coffee! All very tasty. The executive Chef Laurent was friendly. I will definitely come back.

Food preparations is passable except selection for set lunch not wide enough. Should add in seafood items such as scallops, squids and prawns in principal dish to give customers more choices.
