Very friendly staff, even volunteered to take care of baby while we eat. Food is good too!
Great food overall. We tried few appetisers and main courses on the menu and they are all delicious. Price a bit on the high side though.
Service level was immaculate and the beef gourmand sunday brunch was to die for
Amazing french restaurant with superb service and delicious food. We shared a in-house dry-aged wagyu strip 1Kg. This was much better than any steak you could order at a Mortons Steakhouse. Also, the Foie Gras terrine, bone marrow and home made pate were just wow! We also enjoyed our waitress very much as shes was funny, while providing top service. I will come back and highly recommend this place. M. Rigendinger
We started our meal with the grilled haloumi salad, which was surprisingly good, and raised our expectations for the rest of the meal. Bar-Roque did not disappoint. Their steak beats the likes of Mortons, Ruth's Chris and Skirt, and the potato gratin was heavenly. For dessert, we ordered the apple tarte tartin (wish it had been more tart!) and the chocolate fondant (delicious). We enjoyed it so much that we've made a reservation to go back next week with our extended family, so you can be sure we'll be going back for more of that delicious food!
My wife and I had the vday menu. We had oyster, hakkaido scallop, foie gras , bouillabaise , chocolate fondant and a special raspberry cake with meringue. Every thing was at least a 8 over 10. We were hoping for a marseille chef michel style bouillabaise where the soup was the highlight but bar rogue placed more emphasis on the ingredients which consist of many types of seafood. It is not a shortcoming but just a difference in style. Foie gras was especially favorful. As good as any i have eaten in france.
The food n the portion is extremely delicious n big. Is a good place for family n friends to hv a gathering. The staff is friendly n helpful to describe the dishes. I enjoyed the celebration my husband’s birthday in this nice n relaxing restaurant wif my children n the offer of a slice of cake the Chef has done for us. Thank you. Judy
Nice restaurant with very high quality steak, if you are passionate about grilled steak. The restaurant itself is a fine dining restaurant so the price can be expected to be quite high, sometimes even overpriced due to the service and ambience (or waiter ShaSha was really accommodating and friendly!) Overall it’s a a nice place to sit down and relax with your partner, opening a bottle of nice wine and enjoying a Friday night ahead of weekend. However if you are looking for cheap and nice quality steak house, this might not be your choice at all.
I haven't been back here since ~2014 and it was rather disappointing. Food quality was quite shocking for the price. Dinner cost us $175 for two with a glass of red each. We had grilled octopus, ribeye steak and an oxtail pasta. The steak was barely a cm thick (we expected a thick cut at a restaurant that's known for its steak) and it was served with fries that definitely tasted like they were previously soggy and then recooked and yucky! Pasta was terribly salty so we couldn't really finish the whole portion. Service from the lady who served us the whole night was good I must say and she knew the pasta was too salty when she saw that we didn't finish it so she served us complimentary dessert to make up for it. We won't be going back for sure. Tables are also extremely close so we were tuned in and amused by the conversation at the next table most of the night. You will also walk out smelling of BBQ meat as it's an open kitchen.
This was my 4th visit to bar-roque grill. The food was delicious as always. We had the duck confit and ravioli. Service was warm, considerate and friendly. The pace was leisurely, which we didn't mind. When it came time for dessert, they ran out of creme brulee and the apple pie took longer than expected so we were comped a glass of wine and the pie. Highly recommend for date night.
