Food was great but the seats arranged was not what I expected. Low seats table are preferred it will be better if we could left the comments to the staff in advance on the arrangement. Thank you.

It’s birthday month for my friend and we both want to go to alter ego! Had the poke bowl and it’s very filling for ya already. We’ve separately recommended to different friends and will just keep going back!

We had a great dinner experience. I love the food there and the side dishes are also fantastic. The poke bowl is not to be missed! Will recommend to anyone!

Staff were familiar with menu offerings and promotions. They were able to advise accordingly and paid attention to our needs. Polite and friendly staff as well.

Asked for a proper seating but only had bar tables which totally spoilt the mood for my date. Disappointed with the arrangement even though I had booked in advance. The outdoor seating doesn’t even have fan. Overall, a rather unsatisfactory and unworthy dinner.

A nice dinner place for a gathering with friends :) Though it can be a little too noisy. The food is good, only the buffalo wings a little too salty for our liking.

Its my 5th time returning back to Alter Ego. They have been improving their menu the everytime i visited. Nice ambiance and food is great too! Love their poke bowl and ofcoz PIZZA FRIES!

Really good food over at Alter Ego. The service from the staff was quick and easy, as none of them were too pre-occupied when we were there. If I would recommend a dish, order the Southern Fried Chicken Burger. It was sinful beyond belief...

We Love the yummy and healthy poke dishes selection. It was also at Reasonable prices in great location with friendly service crew ! Definitely coming back for more.

Nice atmosphere. Food served very promptly. Original Poké bowl served with fresh salmon , in generous portion, highly recommended. Likely to revisit this place again.

Food is good and reasonably priced. The service can be improved; for example, a glass with ice should be served with the drinks. I had to ask twice for water.

Food was ok but the table was extremely small for 4 people. Made the dining experience unpleasant.

Great service, delicious poke! Ambience is good with a nice view of the waterfront. They have seating for groups so this venue is good for small gatherings

Great service & great food. Had the standard poké bowl & pizza 🍟. Poké bowl looks exactly the same as the pictures. Pizza 🍟 was cheesy & tasty. Thumbs up.

Nice place, had the burger which was prety filling. Would have preferred if they served water since i didn't get to try the drinks on the menu

Great food, great ambience - would have been great if the dishes were served together, after my dish arrived my friend had to wait for another 15 minutes before her dish came.

Very friendly and speedy staff. Portion may look small at first, but it's actually quite filling! Delicious food and cosy ambience, will definitely visit again. :)

Food was great as usual, but dessert was definitely overpriced. Great ambience but the red neon light can be a bit painful for the eye after a while.

Love the atmosphere. Portion is a bit small though. Would prefer to have a heartier portion and more variety in menu to suit different dietary preferences(e.g. cannot take beef)

Great atmosphere and lovely food. Would definitely recommend trying their signature poke bowls. Healthy yet delicious and you don't have to feel guilty about having them. I would recommend to go with a group of friends and share a couple of bowls.

I'm a regular at Alter Ego since their opening. I like their poke bowl mix and it's very yummy! They just launched $15.90 lunch set, so get coffee/tea with your order! If you want also are able to eat some "sinful" but super delicious sides, be sure to try their fried chicken skin, fried fish skin or the pizza fries. You won't be disappointed. If you want more food options, try their burger also. They also serve a lot of drinks like mead, cider and other drinks. Highly recommended! 😉

Loved the food at alter ego! The grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich was awesome. We ordered two servings. Try the poke bowl and iced mocha too!

2nd visit and this is going to be my pre concert dinning joint!!! ordered the double patty burger and pulled pork sandwich... and sat through a 2.5 hours forbidden city by Kit Chan... feels like in heaven already!

Chill and relax experience with interesting food and beverage selection. Although poke is the specialty, the chilli dog tasted surprisingly good. Food price around $16-$22.

Attentive service staff, great food and drinks. Good place for a Friday night out with friends. Will definitely revisit again and recommend to my family and friends!

Food is fine with quite reasonable prices. I like the poke bowls. Staff could be more attentive but they were understandably swamped by the crowd. It was a good experience overall with delicious food and good ambience. I would come back again if I'm in the area.

The food was really good! We tried the umami omega, wildcard poke and the chicken sandwich along with a set of carbo load. Accompanied by the amazing view of esplanade's waterfront, everything was above expectations!

Good view of MBS, cafe was pretty quiet and food was quite satisfactory. A good place to catch up with friends with some beer and fries.

Poke bowl portion is big. Nice ambience. Probably the only setback was the seating was too little. However it is worth to go and try.

Food was good, I had the original poke bowl and the fish skin. I booked prior so was easy to get to but service was average. Waited 10 minutes for them to return to pick up my card to make payment while they all sat chatting at the counter

Great food and drinks for an excellent pricing. Absolutely worth and I really enjoyed every minute there. Seasonal drinks never cease to amaze and keeps the menu interesting.

We had various of poke bowls, they were great, light and fulfilling. Lattes and ice tea were awesome too, in additional to the friendly staff and services!

First experience with Alter Ego for my bday! Staff on duty were all efficient and welcoming. Side note, Thank you for arranging the glass panel low seats, i enjoyed the little fireworks!

Welcoming service with friendly and attentive staff, along with great food and ambience. Lunch sets are also available on weekdays, at a pocket-friendly pricing of $15.90 onwards with a main and drink. I decided to go for the ala carte menu and ordered the Southern fried chicken sandwich (which turned out to be a burger instead), cornflake french toast and loaded taters. My favourite dish among all was the southern fried chicken burger which comes with a huge slab of deep fried chicken thigh topped with nacho cheese and ranch sauce, sandwiched between soft buttered brioche buns. It also comes with a side of tangy purple slaw and honey butter cornbread that was luscious with a soft, crumbly texture resembling a pound cake. A great and sweet change from the usual fries/wedges. The loaded taters was sinful albeit enjoyable, deep fried mini bite sized hashbrowns loaded with a generous amount of spicy jalapeno cheese, sour cream, chives and bacon bits. Would prefer if the sauces are served separately though as the tater tots below had turned soggy and lost the essential crisp factor. The cornflake french toast was crisp and coated with cornflakes that provided a pleasant crunch factor, filled with a spread of white and dark salted chocolate ganache and served with butterscotch banana slices and macerated berries. The fillings of chocolate ganache could have been more though IMO, tasted pretty mediocre and akin to a typical chocolate spread without any hint of saltiness as stated. Though prices are pretty steep for the dishes here, it's worth a visit for the ambience and quality of food served!

Food is nice & refreshing but drinks are abut overpriced.. Friendly staff and nice environment. Will visit again & try out others dishes on the menu..

everything was great! service was fast and efficient, especially love the pizza fries there. After making payment, one of the staff told us "Hope to see you guys back at Alter Ego again!" and I felt that this was a good gesture.
