Tonkichi - Takashimaya

The restaurant wasn't too busy at the time of visit (1130) but more people started strolling in by 12 noon. Food was decent and we didn't wait long before it's served.

I love the food. The pork was good quality, juicy and sweet. The sauce is yummy. The sesame was fresh and they even gave the grinder dish for us to grind. Fresh burst of smell for our sauce! Service v good. Free glow of veg! Will go again

This is a great place to enjoy tonkatsu. Consistently deliver on quality. Highly recommended.

I went there to try the plant-based dishes but do note that these are non-vegetarian. Anyway, generally ok but on the salty side.

Back here again cos my daughter likes their food. Had my usual Hire Tonkatsu Set

Yummy tonkatsu, free flow rice and veg. Helpful and nice serving staff (one particular lady who was helping to clear our dishes). Except for the cashier (i.e. same man who took our temperature at entrance), he was NOT friendly at all. Sarcastic when we asked him about payment options when settling our bill too. Hope the restaurant can take note of this as this makes the visit to your restaurant unpleasant. Other than him, the rest of the serving staff seem ok (not as friendly, but acceptable). Booked using Quandoo, no waiting time required.

Great tokatsu as always, consistent standards. Service swings between good and okay, depends on person to person I guess.

The table was not ready when we reached the restaurant and waited about 10mins for the table. But the waiter and waitress service was great when we were seated in the restaurant.

I have been a regular customer of tonkichi for 10 years. Still my favourite go to restaurant for tonkatsu.

We love their food dishes. It was fried very well and the flour used is different from others.

Visited Taka outlet, but found out that only Shaw outlet serves Sashimi. 😅 Food is good, service staff attentive. Overall good experience!

Always a joy eating tonkatsu here. This time tried the layered pork version which is actually softer in texture; but I'll go back to their rosu or hire katsu next time lol. Highly recommended Jap restaurant :)

Friends recommendation go try their tonkatsu in chicken , pork, or fish. Customer get to grind the seasame seed to powder form add sauce as the dip, quite nice. Free flow of vegetables salad and rice is refreshing choice. Makes it delightfully balance. Refilled a few rounds of the salad but not the rice is more than sufficient. Nice service too. Price starting from $22 To $35. Tried their sushimi in the previous visit at the shaw outlet, really fresh! Recommend👍

I would return for the food. We had Rosu and Hire Katsu sets. They were delectable and juicy. The breading was crispy and brittle; not sharp like the kind that would scar your tongue or upper tender parts of your mouth. The salad refill took quite a while though, but they were generous when it came.
