This was my first time there and I’ve always been a fan of one other very good Japanese restaurant. However tonight I was open to trying other places because my favourite had fallen from my esteem. And I’m Glad I did. Restaurant surrounds were very good. It was nicely done up and tasteful, though a little dated. What else would you have in a Japanese restaurant but sashimi! And we concentrated on that. Fish was fresh but not the most fresh ... but it’s not going to give you problems. Overall I enjoyed it but it was really the company at my table that made the night!
The food is great and location is excellent. A little pricey but for the quality and the location I guess the price is acceptable. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
The waiting time was horrible. Went with some colleagues for lunch with good intentions as a farewell for one of us. The restaurant was empty so we thought ok great we could have a good lunch with minimal crowd. However, the food took 45 mins to 1 hour to serve (mind you, we mostly ordered bento sets), there were dead cockroaches on the dining area, and the service staff were unhelpful by brushing off to say that the kitchen is preparing the food (for one hour). Because of this long wait at the restaurant, it snowballed and ruined our schedules for the rest of the day as we were late for our subsequent meetings. Overall the food wasn’t good (a few of the bentos was partially cold and the miso soup was really off though - tasted like aged kettle water), the waiting time was truly unacceptable for the number of diners in the restaurant at lunch time (10 pax). Bad bad service.
The ambience was good. The food was great too but a little tad expensive.
The view by the window was magnificient and service staff was very good. We had 14 of us and we all had an enjoyable evening.
Food was fresh and good. Service excellent. Nice ambience and more importantly my friend from the States loves it very much . Good place for expats to dine
Good food, price a bit on high side. Nice and descriptive selection of sake. Food are served quite fast. Great location to sit down and chat.
Good atmosphere and nice deco. Main dishes are good, but the grilled sticks were served cold, quite disappointed about it, alcohol selections could be more
Outside seating is cooling and smoking is allowed. But speakers hanging above our table is very dusty and playing music too loudly. Wait staffs aren't very welcoming. Food was great though
Food so so only, a bit over priced for the taste and quality. Service also not so fantastic, just basic, there are other better izakaya around, no wonder there isn’t a single Japanese customer around!
The menu selection is extensive! You can find all sorts of japanese dishes from yakitori to tempura to sushi AND more. Food portions were more than expected (bonus!) and prices can be deemed reasonable or a tad pricey. Ambience is bright inside and decor is to the theme. Only thing was they did not know how to let me offset my points. Even though they could not help with that, they were trying to help nonetheless.
There was a large variety of food. Quality was ok. The oden was nice. Service was quite slow. But nice atmosphere! And the location was great.
Food and ambiance is good, service could be better. The shop is too understaffed and the place could be cleaner too. The service and food prices doesn't justify it's cost.
The service was really slow despite there barely being a lunch crowd. Perhaps, it's better during dinner service? But it has a good lunch deal.
Excellent food and great ambience yet again. Tomo has changed the menu a little since I was here last year, but overall quality remains great. Try their Tonpei-yaki or Kimchi Buta fried rice - good value!
Overall a good place to be for casual Japanese dining. Lots of variety in terms of food choice. Service is generally prompt. Went on a weekday evening and there wasn't much of a queue.
It was a pleasant lunch with good food and service even though it is a Sunday. Will be back again in future. Nice decoration too!
The environment was nice and cozy. There was a huge selection and variety of japanese food to choose from which is great. Although the quality of the food is so so for some. Salmon belly is nice thick and fresh!
It's was a unique experience, they gave us a surprise by making a birthday rice cake, when we make the reservation for dinner, mentioning was for a birthday. attentive service staffs,friendly..nice vocal for the live band, even sang birthday song when the cake was approaching to our table..will recommend friends there for our next gathering!
Great food and atmosphere as usual. Food and alcohol selection varied as always. Service was prompt and efficient as always too. Perfect for weekends and groups.
Restaurant was clean and staff were attentive though they appeared busy Food were delicious hope for bigger portion . I will Will definitely visit again
the ambience was great, not too noisy for a date setting. The food came pretty fast, service was good too. But a cockcroach made an appearance to disturb our dinner. If not everything was fantastic.
nice good n drinks, attentive staff but a little disappointed realising that there were no live band on mon tues and wed because we went for that
Staffs were friendly. Service was fast. Seafood was fresh. Definitely will recommend friends to go. However, it will be even better if there were more promotions.
I can't say the food is fantastic, but above average. With the nice river view, and service, i rate 5/6. We park our car at Liang Court, 2mins walk to the restaurant. Spent $250 for 5 adult & 1 kid.
Food taste and layout are disappointing ... Tasteless and not fresh.. but the service is acceptable with good view. Hope the Restaruants can improve the food quality, which is worth to the price we are paying
Good food and has a good range of sake to choose from. You can spend the whole night with a group of Friends or just two of you as it a nice place to enjoy
Food taste awesome! Fresh and well cooked. A definitely MUST-GO @clark quay!!!
Good Food and lets say valuefor the money, prices are good for singapore what i found expensive.athmosphere is good and River view.on weekends you better fi reservation.
Food is not too bad overall. However service needs to be better as we had to wait some time to take orders. Perhaps shortage of staff on the day we went. Carpaccio was good.
Good food with nice atmosphere. The night was busy on eve of new year but service was still satisfactory. Onigiri is good and so are the fried items.
The ambience was good; cosy and suited for meet ups with friends. There was live band at ard 9 too. Food was reasonably priced and delectable. Wide range of choices are available for the food selections. Overall good experience there. Intending to go back for the second round :)
The staff are very attentive and fast in terms of service, either in ordering or paying the bill. The restaurant call to ask for confirmation of booking and allow customers to choose the type of seating they wanted. The place has a nice ambience with a choice to sit on tatami mats (legs do not need to sit cross legged, sitting normally) or normal chairs. It can get a bit noisy and share seating with less privacy. Good for large groups.
Friendly staffs and good ambience. Met up with a group of fiends and really enjoy the food and the live band music. Very cosy place.
This restaurant is decent. The food was good but a little expensive. The Service was alright and there were no waiting time once I arrived.
Good range of Japanese alcoholic drinks, but costs can add up rather quickly. Would visit again with a small group. Not yet the authentic Japanese izakaya but almost there!
It is a pretty good restaurant with friendly staff. It is very suitable for large groups as it is quite spacious. Food is nice too.
Nice environment, good service, a bit expensive though. overall experiences are great. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Food was decent, staff could be more friendly though. I find the pricing still reasonable considering that it's in a tourist attraction area. Feel like it's more suitable for bigger groups since you can share more of the many dishes that they have.
food was a hit and miss. some of the dishes were really good, but some were just average. location of the restaurant is very strategic. just a short walk from the Central.
