Sum Dim Sum - Bedok

the food is nice, but too bad a lot of things no more when we reach there around 1pm...

Dinner at @sumdimsumsg was surprisingly good! We ordered more than 10 items but couldn't post everything on Instagram. I liked the crispy bee hoon best for mains. The polo char siew bao was also nice but could be crispier. Blue pea har gao is just prettier normal har gao. It's normal so don't have too high expectations. Fried beancurd skin was also a hot favourite as well as it's freshly fried. Spinach was meh. Don't need to order. Don't order the roasted duck too. The meat is tough and not nice at all. Total spent $122.49 for 5 adults and 2 kids.

Moonlight Hor Fun and fried rice, pandan baked char siew bao are nice. personally I don't like the fried carrot cake with the shallots on top....find it too oily :( Staff is friendly, ample parking underground, so sheltered all the way to restaurant.

Reservation was easy. Food is fresh & delicious. The waiter & waitress were very attentive & polite.

First time trying and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the selection of dim sum is limited, it has all the basic typically dim sums available. All the items we ordered are tasty and fresh. Recommended if you don’t mind a smaller selection of choices.

The moonlight hor fun was super tasty ! We ordered 3 sets ! Very nice 👍 with lard bits and lots of ingredients…. The place was quiet and comfortable too

atmosphere is good. they even have private rooms . don't quite the food. there are fried shallots on top of the fried carrot cake, the skin of chee cheong fun is not soft n a bit thick. crystal dumplings is too salty. red bean dumplings and moon hpr fun are nice. siew mai n har gou are okay.

Highlight of the dinner was seafood white bee Hoon, which was very good. The rest (porridge, hor fun erc.) were more average.

Conveniently located in HomeTeams. Food is nice. It will be great if the aircon can be stronger, as it's a little hot sitting at the corner.

Very good Dim Sum, much better than New Zealand where we're from 🤣 The quality was very good and the prices were reasonable as well.

Service was eager and pleasant but quite understaffed to handle the crowd. Obviously the kitchen cannot handle the volume of and some dishes (3 for us) were served cold. A big no-no for dim sum. Our neighbouring tables had the same complaints. The sauce for rice rolls was candy-sweet - a likely result of the understaffed kitchen. The best dish was the lava buns. One of the better ones that i have had. The skin was fluffy and the filling was light and just the correct viscosity. Despite having to deal with many tables and orders, all the staff remained polite and smiling. A huge plus for any establishment.

The food was so so…was a little disappointed with the food as the ratings were not bad. But service was not bad.

Overall I would say that the meal was okay only. Tried the fried yam pastry and it was abit over fried. Could taste that it was fried with old oil. Hope they will change the oil more often

Tried this new outlet at Bedok. Its on 2nd floor of Hometeams Bedok Reservoir. Service members were attentive and pleasant. Food quality wise, I feel its tastier than Jalan Besar location. Safra member has a 10% discount. Ideal place in the East, for wholesome Dim Sum.
