Quite quiet on a weekday night, service was quite good.

It was a noisy Friday evening. 2 tables of tourists(?) or company employees(?) were creating a ruckus. Had the 小龙包 among other dishes - advise not to eat this as the soup (normally found in the 包) was non-existent.

Most of the food was very well done, with a few exceptions like mapo tofu and pork intestine. The 辣子鸡 and 四川鱼 were the most outstanding dishes!

The restaurant was packed with busloads of tour groups disappearing into the many rooms. The staff apologised that no table is available, seated us in the waiting area and brought glasses of water unasked. Other than the unexpected wait time, food and service very good.

It was a wet afternoon so was surprised to find the restaurant unusually crowded with all the tables taken (probably due to Chinese tour groups). But staff was quick to turnaround a table for us.

Exceptional attentive service from friendly staff. Customer at next table unknowingly ordered a spicy dish and the staff on noting his chagrin on seeing the mala item immediately offered to take it back and replaced with a non-spicy version!

Staff recommended fish slices with salty vegetable soup: mildly spicy and not as salty as feared - glad we tried this dish. Went well with rice. Will order again.
