It’s not only the food that’s taken seriously at Mitzo Restaurant & Bar. The team of expert mixologists are well-versed and passionate about creating incredible cocktails to perfectly match the food, and go as far as to source the produce and herbs daily. Talk about fresh. There are two bars within Mitzo Restaurant & Bar, with one being the Cocktail Atelier with a three-metre long jellyfish tank as a backdrop and glittering bar top; the other being more private with views of Orchard's skyline. The cocktails are inspired by Chinese and Asian traditions as well as much-loved classics, and we recommend sampling the Empress Sours made with chrysanthemum tea-infused gin, ginger, lavender syrup and lychee liqueur.
As for the food, well, you’re really in for a treat. As we said, the concept is centred around sharing, and showcasing the very best of Cantonese cuisine here in Orchard. Mitzo specials range from braised sea cucumber with minced chicken and seasonal greens cooked in truffle sauce and 6-head abalone with matsutake, alongside dim sum offerings filled with wild mushrooms and truffle seafood stuffed in a salted egg puff. For seafood fans, we can’t recommend enough the stir-fried lobster claw with shrimp in a petai bean sauce, while meat lovers can fill their boots with an array of Chinese-inspired meats cooked to absolute perfection.
