Regular customer there. Family based restaurant. Variety of food is good. Service level is good overall. Place gets busy during meal times, hence must make reservations. Will recommend.
Didn't look like it would be good when we stepped into the restaurant, but sashimi was fresh and food was great. Decent service to. Although pricier than the average Japanese place in the east but worth it for a consistently good meal.
Sashimi and steak cubes were fabulous. Cold soba has a really big portion and would be great if it comes also in a smaller portion at a lower price to choose from!
Foods great. Made effort to ensure my reservation was done right when i called to clarified abt the total seating.. however their overall service could be improved as they are only 3 staff serving.
Good value for Japanese contemporary cuisine, if you're in the East. Occasionally having off menu items that seasonally brought in from Japan. Go try it!
Sashimi is quite fresh and with reasonable price. But the tables are a bit packed.
Overall it's a good dining experience. Food is good enough; not excellent. Service is also ok; can be improved. Probably revisit if I'm desperate for Japanese food.
Good food and reasonable price . Just that it's hard to find parking at that area . Might want to plan your trip before going there .
Fresh ingredients, sashimi is on the pricey side, small neighbour restaurant with cosy ambience, good menu selection, must try the shiok ramen with the different degree of spicyness
Love the cosy environment and happy with our orders! Truly a great-value-for-money visit, especially since it was a birthday treat from my teenage girls and I didn't want them to spend too much :)
Staff Theresa was extremely helpful and though there was lack of service staff, still very please with the 2 girls who were running around smiling and serving the best they could to a full house of diners.
The seafood ramen is pretty good. Slightly milky soup hase is rich but not ver-powering. Generously serving of seafood - prawns, mussels, fish. Quite a nice change.
Good service. Fresh Japanese food at reasonable price. Cosy ambience in nice residential area. Free private parking but only limited lots. Highly recommended for family dinners.
Megumi is an East Coast evergreen serving very good Japanese food. Good variety and portions at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended for a family outing.
Food is nice and presentable, price is reasonable, service is fast and good, but limited parking lot and tables. And the Environment is clean and neat.
The ufo maki and seafood ramen were delicious! Sashimi salad was a little too tart for my liking. We will likely return just for the maki!
Overall food was good and fresh . The service can be better .
Good food and service. Food comes quickly, is of consistent quality, and is a great comfort food. Ordering with the ipad is also easy peasy.
It's great as usual. The Zaru soba is one of the best IMO. For those driving, there's a private carpark. Number of lots are limited though.
Good fresh Japanese restaurant at reasonable price. Simple cosy ambience. We patronise it regularly as we like it very much. Sign up for the loyalty program for some rebates.
restaurant was not full and we have the attention of the waitress and food was serve very quickly once ordered. food was very fresh and the waitress were very friendly too. price was quite pricey
This is our regular place for our dinner. Hubby likes the grilled fish - Saba, salmon, gindara. I go for the beef with rice - with or without hot pot. Both are good
It's an excellent Japanese restaurant. Traditional, small but cosy set-up. Hubby loves the gindara teriyaki. Reserve the hamachi Kama if you like that. It's good but limited in availability.
If you are into fresh sashimi, this is the place to go. Reasonable price, cosy setting, good service. Love the gyu don too. Another beef on rice in hot pot is excellent as well.
Quaint little restaurant along East coast road offering good Japanese food, which I had enjoyed for almost a decade. Though prices have soared & some dishes quantities have reduced!
Food is consistently good. Service is consistently bad. Service staff seems tired angry and disinterested. You have to ask for chopsticks, bowls even though it is clear they are needed to consume to food and take soup from the hotpot. It's a shame because the food does not let them down.
As usual service was good and the staff was very friendly. Food was fresh and did not have to wait Long for this even the place was crowded
My hubby and I are regulars at Megumi Upp East Coast. One thing that stands out is the consistency in its food quality -it is consistently good.
A great neighbourhood Japanese restaurant which serves fresh, delicious dishes. Like many Japanese restaurants in Singapore it flies in its own fresh seafood from Japan. The menu is varied and there are the usual favourites but also so much more - everything I've had there has been really amazing. Check out the bentos, also the UFO Maki and the Ebi Gyozo which are superb, The sashimi melts in your mouth, and the agedashi tofu is perfectly cooked and full of flavour. You book via an iPad, and there's also a board on the wall stating airflown seafood dishes. I have been a few times and everything I've ordered has been delicious - worth a visit, but it's usually quite packed so make a reservation and they hold your table for only 10 minutes after the time you booked.
as usual food was excellent and the service was excellent too despite that the place was full of diners. however found the price pricey from other japanese restaurant. could be the quality of fish.
as usual the food was fresh and good. this time noise was down due to no big groups of diners. waitress were very attentive and tend to our need.
Small restaurant, service is just OK. Table is small and the seating arrangement not comforatable. Nothing Fantastic about the food, price is resonable for the quality of the food. Not suitable for dinner gathering of 4 people or more, as the table is small and not suitable for food sharing.
Food is good. Staff remember us and gave us our regular table. Most of the time the restaurant is crowded on weekends. Will be back for more.
Premium Japanese seafood at a affordable price, service was quite prompt. Best to make reservations as it can get crowded during weekdays or weekends. Relatively quiet place.
Went there with a friend for the first time last night. Good service with amazing food! Definately will be back! Keep up the good work!
very noisy. food as usual was good and as usual the salmon belly sashmi ran out. otherwise the staff were very friendly and attend to my need immediately. place was full and crowded
Food was good but they were quite short on service staff. Recommend that you make a reservation otherwise it's pretty hard to get a seat there especially on a weekend night
very nosiy as too many people were talking at the same time. food was good and fresh. staff were very friendly and were always there to help us out. i visit this place every week with my family.
Ebi miso yaki and salmon aburi maki taste good. Overall food is not bad, just a little pricey for certain food items. Do make reservations if you are dining on fridays and weekends night.
good food, staff very friendly no need to wait as table was ready. only place was very loud and nosiy as the place was full. we visit this restaurant every week.
