The food is fresh and nice with a good selection . The service staff are prompt and friendly. Nice ambience to dine there. Need to make reservation.

Food is served fresh and hot. Really enjoyed the food. However, its sad that the restaurant is moving to Joo Chiat. Hope the new place is easy to locate. Overall experience is enjoyable and service was good and fast.

Food is always consistently good...fresh quality produce. Usually go for the same thing - UFO maki, agedashi tofu, bento etc. Always very enjoyable - nice ambiance - very busy so it's worth booking. Unfortunately they're moving out of the neighbourhood but luckily not too far away - to Joo Chiat road at the end of the month.

Staff was nice and friendly. Was being attended to pretty fast. Service was good, up to standard. Food was even better, very nice. Fresh salmon belly & grilled salmon head.

Simple family restaurant serving a variety of Japanese food - ramen, tempura, sashimi, hot pot and hot stone bowls. Couldn’t eat sashimi this time, but saw that the neighbouring tables had pretty fat slabs of fish!

Service was good and chirashi don was thickly sliced. Wouldn’t mind returning.

Food was still as good, but nothing was given to my partner and I for celebrating our anniversary there. Was pretty disappointed for that matter.

Enjoyed the dinner. All the dishes ordered were delicious. We ordered the seafood ramen. It was just right with nice chunks of seafood, not too salty unlike other places. Service was efficient.

We went, a party of 3, on a Thursday night after 8pm. There was not many people dining there at that time. We had pretty good service from the service staff who explained the menu and the specials on freshly flown-in fish prepared in 3 to 4 styles. We decided not to have the specials though. The food was fairly good with warm sake to wash it down well. Overall we enjoyed the dinner there.

Value for money set lunch. I had the unagi bento set and the unagi is quite big slice and fresh. The food are nice. Will go back again.

A gem in the east! It’s my second time here and Megumi never fails to amaze me with their great quality, tasty, and flavourful sushi rolls! The sashimi is so fresh! My partner loves the butterfish for its smooth and creamy texture. It’s definitely one of my favourite sushi places!

We went to Megumi Japanese Restaurant for dinner. We had the yaki soba (very good!), salmon sashimi (very tasty), unagi don (nothing spectacular). I wouldn't mind going back for sure if I have the chance!

The food came not long after we placed our order. I had my usual Tara Ramen which did not disappoint me. The salmon Don was also good. Except for the fried soft shell crab which I think was a little pricy and was quite fishy after a short while. The waitress was attentive. Had a pleasant meal.

2 of us went there for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The serving staff made excellent recommendation. We ordered a fresh fish from Japan - served in 3 ways, sashimi, nabe and bones were deep-fried. We also ordered the garlic rice and grilled salmon belly. All dishes were delicious.

The UFO sushi roll was very good and beef was very tender.

Nice food reasonable priced and good service. Parking lot very limited but there is a public carpark just 3 min walk away. Will definitely visit the place again.

Great service, the food arrived faster than expected and the staff we're very accommodating with regards to our requests for less sauce and mayo. The waitress as well took their initiative to constantly check on how our meal was and if we were alright.

An old school japanese restaurant tucked away near Siglap area. Prices are your typical Japanese restaurant such as ichiban. They serve a variety of japanese food from sashimi, ramen, tempura to bentos.

Service was prompt, meal was quickly served. Food was at its usual standard, EXCELLENT. After our meal, we received a pink rose from Megumi on Valentine's Day. It was a lovely gesture. Will definitely be back again.

Standard retained after my last visit 2 years ago. Around $50 for 2 people. Crowd has reduced though. A place to savour Japanese delicacies. Daily specialties available.

Restaurant was a little cold. Tamago dashi maki was served with mayonnaise instead of daikon. Tori karaage was served without mayonnaise. Confused me very much.

Cosy restaurant that serves pretty good Jap food, fresh sashimi and nice curry rice. Staff were friendly and attentive to the customers. All in all, good experience.

The daily fresh fish is a must try. Half sashimi half baked is always our favorite for the most suitable fish of the day :)

Cosy family style restaurant, good generous portions of sashimi. However did not feel it was worth the price we paid, it was nearly $50 per person and we did not order a lot.

Has being a regular here for sometime now. Food were always excellent. Unlike previously, this evening business was slow and the staff were engaged in loud conversations amongst themselves and were not very attentive.

The food was average but the service was very good. It is easy to find parking free of charge within the area, at houses nearby.

We have been going to Megumi for more than 9 years and its consistently good. Fresh sashimi, great udon and nice beef saikoro. We like it and hope it will continue to be good.

food is always good. always order the chirashi bowl and the sashimi is always fresh, never disappoints. will definitely be back in the future for sure.

Service was good, food could be better (the unagi claypot rice we ordered barely had any unagi....) generally pleasant experience though! Second time at this place.
