Baghdad Street in Singapore is packed with Middle Eastern eateries, but nowhere else can you find the incredible baloon bread than at number 17 Baghdad Street, the site of Istanblue Mezze & Grill House. An extensive menu is on offer here, with all grilled dishes being cooked over a traditional Turkish charcoal fire. Turkish coffee is of course available, but who could ignore capping off a mixed mezze platter with a cup of traditional Turkish tea? Found in Bugis, Istanblue is right in the heart of Singapore.

Get a table before they're gone
Having tried kebabs before, we wanted to try something different this time. My wife ordered Ali Nazik. I ordered 'sulu kofte', a stew like dish with köfte (small meat balls) , green peas, potatoes and tomato souse. it was very delicious though. It came with rice was served separately. I was so full I could not order anything else. Highly recommend this place.
One of our favourite Turkish restaurant in Arab street. Food taste like back in Istanbul.
Very nice authentic Turkish place with tasty food. Will definitely come back
Istanblue Mezze & Grill House is to be found along Singapore’s historic Baghdad Street, at number 17 in Bugis to be precise. Their menus feature a huge selection of Turkish dishes, and you can rest assured that where heat is required, all dishes are cooked over a charcoal fire the traditional Turkish way. Of special note are the Special Meze plates, in particular the Istanblue Shish Kebab mezze.
The well-known Turkish dish of borek, cheese and herb stuffed filo pockets, is represented, as are lesser known delights such as hellim izgara (grilled goats’ cheese) and the baloon bread, which has to be seen to be believed. The patlican kebab is a favourite, with aubergine sharing the skewers with tender lamb. Come on down to Istanblue Mezze & Grill House in Singapore’s Bugis for a real taste of Turkey.
