You can hunt high and low around MacPherson, but you’re not going to surpass the summit of Himalayan cuisine that you find at Himalaya Kitchen Singapore. This is a casual, cosy restaurant that dishes up satisfying, authentic North Indian, Nepalese, Punjabi and Pakistani food. The portions are decent and the prices very reasonable – especially when you consider that Himalaya Kitchen Singapore sources only organic ingredients – and we can recommend reaching for the vegetarian and chicken Nepalese momo dumplings, some juicy mutton sheek kebab, the vegetarian aloo jeera or half a classic Indian tandoori chicken. Himalaya Kitchen Singapore is worth popping by even for a snack (their vegetarian pakoras are hard to beat!) but even in this case we’d recommend booking a table ahead of time if you can, because this attracts MacPherson locals and South Asian cuisine connoisseurs from all over Singapore!
Decent North Indian food. Place is clean and newly renovated. Affordable prices. Only con is the small curry portions.
Dim, slightly dingy atmosphere but don't let that put you off - good Indian food.
Good Indian food (only Nepalese things on the menu are momos) at good value.
