Went after lunch peak hour so restaurant was quiet. Staff was attentive. Lunch menu very worth it. Beef rendang was great, tasty and tender to eat. But Chap Chye a bit too salty to my liking.

The dining experience would be even better if the tables are not arranged so closely to each other, for more privacy.

Service was excellent as usual. The waitress remembered my family’s favourite table (10) eventhough we had not dined there for a few months Taste of food was good all round. However we noticed a few things : Chap Chye order had mostly cabbage, 1 small mushroom and hardly any wood fungus. Very bland presentation Beef rendang .. for some reason beef slices were served instead of chunks.. Taste was ok Otah was very delicious but portions was smaller than usual I hope our feedback will be taken in the right spirit of improving customer experience. Thank you

The Beef Rendang had basically not meat. All the bits of beef were either entirely collagen or little bits of not very nice meat in between lots of collagen. I've never had such an odd bit of "beef" in my life.

While I liked the food, a couple of my friends who are Peranakan felt the food is not authentic. The buah keluak was not fully removed and stuffed back in. The Ulum was slightly less delicious than my last visit. The Goh Hiang was fantastic though. I don’t mind returning but my friends will not.

Ordered 5 dishes for 4 persons and couldn't finish up. Buah keluak fried rice was delicious, and portion was just right for us as we were all small rice eaters. Ayam buah keluak was juicy and soaked up the gravy well. Ngor hiang was shaped in squares, which seemed to enhance the flavour. Chap chye was well cooked with none of the strong dried shrimp taste found in zichar chap chye. As the place was packed, service was slower but it did not detract from the experience at all! Place is intimate with only a few tables, reservations definitely needed early!

Lunch set is good value. For something different, try the bush keluak pasta (might have been excluded from the lunch set since my last visit, but worth ordering even as an ala carte item). Check it out!

There was no place inside and it’s so hot outside. The moment you step in, you are greeted with hot air from the fans. How could anyone eat Peranakan in this heat?? We left!

Glad I had made reservation as Godmama was fully booked on the day of visit. We went there to try their Sambal Buah Keluak Fried Rice after binge-watching Emerald Hill. Food was on the flavourful side as expected of Peranakan food. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

On the pricey side, but you can save a bit with Grab Dine Out vouchers. Staff were friendly. Food was good but not spectacular. Desserts were better!
