You can even go one further: in the heart of the Chinatown, close to Telok Ayer Market and Raffles Place, you can find them all at Ding Dong, where pan-Asian fusion cuisine is the order of the day. That takes the form of fresh seafood and meat dishes, vegetarian options and a huge cocktail menu to keep the whole party happy: so book a table today and head on down to Amoy Street and Ding Dong.

The realm of Asian cuisine is a large one, and it takes a very confident person to try and take them all on. At Ding Dong on Amoy Street in the centre of Chinatown, they have such a figure in the form of Jet Lo – no relation to the high-kicking hero Jet Li, though they are both Singapore citizens – who has crafted a menu that encapsulates all the many flavours of Asia, from Indian and Thai curries to Vietnamese and Chinese-style noodles dishes, as well as plenty of fresh fish and seafood to boot. Let us talk you through a few of the specialities that you can find on the menu at Ding Dong in Chinatown.
Start your meal on Amoy Street in a suitably Chinatown manner, with a few small plates of Cantonese classics: Ding Dong blue lobster bao with hoisin sauce is a local favourite. Follow it up with a larger dish of Thai-style Tom Kha crispy quail, Japanese Wagyu char siew, Malaysian beef cheek rendang, cooked for 48 hours straight, or even the snapper sagg aloo with garam masala. Reserve yourself a table at Ding Dong, take a trip on the MRT to Chinatown, Raffles Place or Downtown stations and get ready for a superb Asian meal in Singapore.
Great experience. Food and service were terrific. Mixologist really knows her stuff. It's great sitting at the bar watching the action going on with food and cocktail prep. We'll be back.
I went for the express lunch.'it was really reasonable, good value and delicious food. I would definitely recommend it. Glass of wine an adult also $10 which was fabulous as well.
The food is great and the ambience pleasant. I have been following this redtraurant since it was at its old location and Amoy. Barramundi is great. Miss the rendang though.
Great place to dine. Food was rather good and moderately priced. It was just a stone throw from my office. Will definitely go back again.
Creative and Interesting take on asian cusine but on the pricier side. Interior decor as also fun and lively but unfortunately there was a group of table who were very loud and affected the dining atmosphere.
Very tasty variations on Vietnamese/Southeast Asian cuisine, in modern bistro style with friendly service. Worth a visit if you want something else than the classic Southeast Asian menu
Good food but service was a bit slow. Choice of food quite varied. Interesting use of ingredients that suggest a very imaginative chef. Will come back agas n
Good quality food though the wait was rather long for items. Portions are rather small except for the crispy pork knuckle which was very worth its portion.
excellent food, funky decor and good service, set lunch price was reasonable as well. A little hard to find as it was tucked away in a corner.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. They've just brought back the duck curry, so it's definitely a must-try - and conveniently, it's on their lunch set menu too.
