Dashi, one of the most important ingredients in Japanese Cuisine and Marusaya knows it all well. Located in Singapore’s beautiful Robertson Quay, Dashi Master Marusaya serves authentic Japanese cuisine using all-natural Dashi in a stylish environment with both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests are treated to some of the city’s friendliest service and fine Japanese cuisine that’s hard to beat outside of Tokyo itself.
While Singapore is no stranger to authentic Japanese cuisine, there’s just something about Dashi Master Marusaya that puts it well above the rest. With a commitment to high-quality Japanese cuisine, amicable customer service and a peaceful atmosphere, the folks at Dashi Master Marusaya aim to give diners the most authentic Japanese culinary experience in Singapore’s Robertson Quay.
Fans of traditional Japanese cuisine cannot stop raving about the fresh and delicious offerings available on Dashi Master Marusaya’s large menu. Open every day of the week on Singapore’s Robertson Quay, this Japanese restaurant has excellent lunch specials during the daytime that are ideal for local workers who want to eat well on a budget. We recommend the wafu dashi pasta set lunch, which includes Japanese capellini topped with nori and served with onigiri, chawanmushi, potato salad and a dessert. Sushi lovers will find that the sashimi at Dashi Master Marusaya is as fresh as it comes. Hugely popular among Asian-food fans, reserving a table in advance at this Robertson Quay restaurant is highly advised.
Their service was good for us. And food was good, especially hot pot. We enjoyed our dinner time. We are looking for going to there next time.
The food was really good, atmosphere was awesome. Knew of this restaurant through ordering UBER Eats in the area and the dashi stock was so good in the oden and chazuke that we had to come once! Food was so heartwarming. Highly recommend the agadeshi tofu, dashi ramen, salmon chasuke and the oden moriawase! Great to order in if you’re having a staycay in the area too because the food is really good for delivery standards! Wish it could deliver to Jurong 😭
Good services ! There were some trouble in wet towel, but foods were delicious and services were satisfied level. Like to revisit there again. Hope it will come soon.
That'a was nice. Especially taste was fantastic and also service was good.
There were only two other people at the restaurant for lunch and they were in a private room. However, unlike many other restaurants we were not rushed through with the staff giving us too much attention and the kitchen rushing through our order. The food was really good, I had the tempura udon set which included a number of side dishes. I would return and recommend it to others.
Food was authentic and good. Well worth the trip as I have been looking for a Japanese restaurant with good dashi. We had the lunch sets, which were great value for money for the quality and quantity of the food. I had the Tendon set @ $22++ which came with 3 prawns! The pickles were made traditionally but was a little too strong for 2 of us. We would return again in future for more dashi goodness.
Great restaurant, even better ambience and superb lunch set. We had the tempura lunch set and the fish udon lunch set. Both are superb, the tempura is light and crispy and the fish fresh. The udon did not disappoint as well. The staff were attentive and they were able to make solid recommendations. Will definitely visit again soon.
2nd time here and the food & experience were just as gd as my 1st visit. Absolutely loved their tamago (so flavourful, moist & fluffy) and Wafudashi Pasta (the soup was so rich with umami and the capellini itself was very flavourful on its own). Will be back to try their other items!!
The food was really hearty and tasty, and the restaurant lives up to its name of "dashi master". We went during lunch and it was quite a quiet and peaceful dining experience. I liked that the service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall a great experience!
Exceptional service. Authentic Japanese food. Truly worth a visit. Restaurant wasn't very full on a Sunday evening. The dashi stock steamboat is something that you can't find in most upscale Japanese restaurants in town. A hidden gem tucked by the quay indeed.
