service was generally good, especially from the owner and manager. both food and desserts were great. we had the spring chicken, beef cheek and roasted venison which was one of the special items available.
Great service - staff were very attentive and manager took care to attend to a special request. It was relatively quiet on New Year's Day - perfect place to dine away from the crowds in town.
Good food, good ambience and good service. The place was not too crowded when we went there for Tuesday lunch. Thank you and we enjoyed ourselves.
Fantastic experience ..... Demystifying French food, Bistro du Vin on Zion Road focuses on an array of traditional dishes all across France ..... Will come again
Perfect menu and especially wine! Must try lamb one and dessert as well. Was great service too. Nice atmosphere, friendly staffs. Bit pricey but worth to go there.
Bistro Du Vin is where I go when I miss real French Bistro meals... it is relaxed, good food, interesting wine list, and best of all, friendly and helpful staff. If you want a place to take family or friends, be able to chat and eat in a casual atmosphere, this is the place for you. Always pay close attention to the specials board, some great meals come from there.
Good food and service. We had french onion soup, lobster tail salad, tomatoes salad, cold cut platter, duck confit, mussels, seabream, 3 desserts and coffee. About $60 per pax.
Good food and good service. Great location. Bistro is highly recommended.
Honest but excellent food. Attentive service. House wine wasn't too impressive. Stick to traditional dishes like beef cheek, escargot, terrine. Pre-order souffle as it takes 20 minutes.
Food was great, though our mains were a little salty. We had escargo, nicoise salad, duck confit, cod, creme brulee. Cappucino was on the house as it was the husband's birthday. We felt very welcome!
Probably one of the best French restaurants in Singapore. Perfect and authentic french cuisine and very friendly, attentive team. From the beginning to the end, all pleasant experiences.
The foie gras was excellent but did not quite like the main though ... the duck confit was too salty n dry n my son's chicken (can't remember exactly what he had) was a little overcooked too.
Just hoped that the wagyu were more tender. Otherwise, good food & great ambience supported with knowledgeable and friendly staff! Will definitely return for more!
Food and service was great! Meat dishes were cooked to the finest quality. My favourite dish has to be the spring chicken. Will be back again!
Nice and cozy setting in a shophouse opposite Great Word City. Friendly and humorous service attendant. Delicious food and yummy desserts. Public car park available next to a hawker centre nearby. Also available at Great World City across the road.
Had lunch with friend on the weekend. We were thinking to order truffle fries in addition to set lunch, but as the portion was quite big we were glad we didn't order the fries. All food was good and authentic. Highly recommended!
Great meals there every time, whether it is lunch or dinner, especially where set lunches come at great value for money. Starts the meal off on a right note with a warm baguette basket, don't miss the mussels if its on the specials menu.
We enjoyed our dinner. With great variety of food and wine list. Very good service and attentive staffs. We will be back again. Thank you
The restaurant serves great food in a nice, casual setting. It's a place that's great for a family gathering or a date with your beau.
The food is fantastic. Service by both the manager and waiters are excellent too. A good host making sure you are well attended. I like also like the rustic feel in the restaurant where its give me the feeling of being in France :)

great French food and a lovely cozy restaurant. French onion soup is amazing. Extensive reasonably priced wine list. Cant wait to go back again soon
Went there for dinner. Their service is fast and the waiters are very professional. The food is delicious and flavorful. Very satisfied dining there and highly recommend it.
We have a good experience dining in Bistro Du Vin at Zion Rd, the food is nice and satisfied with the service, will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Service was outstanding. Philippe and the staff we some of the friendliest and genuine people we've met in a long time. We will be back very soon!
This was our first visit to Bistro du Vin. The service was very good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good as well. My youngest loved the bread very much! My husband had a special fish dish with Sole. One of the staff offered to take the bones out for him which was very nice! My oldest had a mussels special and there were A LOT of them! He enjoyed the sauce very much! We all had dessert and they were all very good. definitely worth a try and we will be back.
I wanted to eat everything on the menu. For starters we had the foie gras terrine, cheese souffle and onion soup. The onion soup was a bit sweet. ..i tend to like the saltier taste...But it waa still good. Mains: duck breast, beef cheeks, Delicious. Dessert: grand marnier souffle and chocolate fondant. Ahhh. Satisfaction...
Once again, Fabulous food, attentive service, great value for money especially the set lunches. Was impossible to eat the 3rd course after the 1st two. Will definitely go again because the desserts are calling out to be eaten !!
Food is really yummy and very attentive service! Accept for the boiled potatoes on the salty side. Wine by per glass is worthwhile, unlike other restaurants Serve only less than half a glass!
Very pleasant dining experience. Staff were very friendly. More importantly, food was good. My favourite is the stewed pork cheek. The wine is also well curated.
Great dining experience with wonderful staff! Manager was exceptionally hospitable and friendly. Food was enjoyable too; loved the foie gras and cod fish fillet. Looking forward to my next meal there
Very good and complete set lunch available daily. Quiet and nice environment. Friendly and efficient staff. The beef stew is excellent. So is the duck rillete and choc tart
Ordered French onion soup & escargot with garlic herb, both avg. Pan seared scallops & grilled cod fish are excellent. Pork blade? Meat is so tough that the 3 of us seems to be fighting the pig. Service is good. Overall experience - pleasant. We'll come back again.
This is a little bit of Paris in Zion Road! Once inside you'll be transported to the Rue de Bac in the 7th arrondisement - complete with french maitre D. Food is authentic - even according to my chauvinistic French visitor. No higher praise.
Food was always good. Helpful staff. Met Philippe, the director who came over and said hello. He is friendly and charming. Remain as one of my fav restaurants in town.
Had another very enjoyable evening at bistro du vin. Tried their beef cheek this time after having their pork cheek in my previous visit. The dish is just as good. Choice of wine makes a difference. Brought a bottle of Bordeaux this time and went very well with this. Burgundy red is a better complement to the pork cheek. Will definitely return to try its other dishes..
somehow just not as good as the shaw outlet. the steak that we had is not tender and truffle fries hardly has any aroma of truffle. we will stick to shaw outlet
Service was great and crew surprised us by singing birthday song for my friend when they presented her the cake.
Set lunch is value for money! Easy to get table during lunch. Location is just opposite great world city. Service is also pretty good. Recommended!
Good set lunch value. Consistent food across branches. Patient service staff didn't rush us even when we lingered past their closing time! Will be back :)
Good food, excellent service and beautiful ambience. Nicely situated out of the hustle and bustle of town.. Definitely one of the places to go back again for french food.
Main dishes a little salty but the food is ok. Dessert is not bad. Service is ok. Over all, the first time experience at Bistro du Vin is average.
as always, bdv didn't disappoint. Great service and good food, what more is there to say?
Food was excellent. I had the lamb shank, very tender. Sauce was tomato based, very tasty. My companion had the plaice fish (daily special) which came with boiled potatoes (soft but not mushy) and sauteed button mushrooms. Potatoes and mushrooms were good. Fish had too many bones, but that was the fish not the chef.
They have a 2-course ($27) and a 3-course ($32) set lunch with really nice options. My friend had the smoked duck breast salad, pan fried salmon trout and creme brulee. I had the foie grois ravioli, beef bourgignon with mash and creme brulee. The food was very well prepared, the beef was so tender and I'm picky about my mash and they were almost as good as my own ;). My friend said her salad was delicious and she loved her pan-seared salmon too. My ravioli was only okay - but that just could be my taste buds. It was prepared and presented beautifully but just had a flavor that wasn't to my taste. The creme brulee, on the other hand, was so yummy and creamy with a nice caramelized topping. We ended our meal with a complimentary coffee/tea. The service was impeccable as well. Overall, a very lovely and enjoyable lunch for a great price! I highly recommend trying it out for lunch with the set menu, or in the evening with your loved one.
great food and service. we will definitely be back again
Authentic French fare, great wines and ambience at prices that won't make you wince! And you have a choice of full or half glass which is a useful option for drivers. The champagne and the Loire Valley Sancerre 2012 (white) were particularly good.
The service was really great! They held our reservations for pretty long, it was really hard to find parking :( The food was really good too!
Fantastic food as usual with super attentive staff! The ambience is super. Personally way prefer this branch than that at Shaw Cemter. Will come back again soon!
Open bottled water rather the usual tap water when asked about drinking water. Then realised error, tried to be attentive to service. Also bcos got very few customers during weekend lunch. In overseas restaurants, they don't charge for wrongful error. They even give complimentary items. Getting repeat clients utmost important. Cheaper to keep existing than acquire new clients
