Environment was very good. Love the tea! But the one who took our order made a mistake. My friend and I ordered $38++/pax Deluxe Teasery each. After we ate, we both were still hungry. Normally I went high tea or afternoon tea, I cannot finish the set. But come to my surprise the order was way too little. After we made payment, I took the receipt and see, it was only charged for 1 pax of Deluxe Teasery. No wonder! At first, when I order my set I selected the oyster to be bake with cheese. Then I ask my friend what is her choice. The waitress told us that we can only choose one. Then I thought we can only choose the same for both deluxe teasery. I believe it is very obvious that we wanted 2 DELUXE TEASERY. The waitress did not make sure our order and I assumed was correct. My friend also don't quite understand when the waitress said one of the tea set is ala carte.
Waited for quite some time at the entrance before somebody came to attend to us. Had to repeatedly press the buzzer and attempt to capture the server's attention by waving like crazy before we had somebody attend to our table to take our orders. Food was so-so. Sweet potato fries were cold when served. The saving grace was probably the iced/cold fruit teas served which was really good.
The arm chair seats by the windows (at the far corner) that I was placed at were stained and grubby looking, not in keeping with the “artistic” decor and ambience of the restaurant. My guest and I were also disturbed by staff who had to access a room opposite our seating continually for the 2 hours we were present. They didn’t make any noise but it was distracting and unsightly since the staff kept passing by with objects to be deposited in the room. In a restaurant that was not crowded, I didn’t understand why I was seated in that corner where catching the attention of the service staff was also challenging.
Food quality is high and chefs are highly skilled. Tastes are more experimental than usual with positive outcome on most dishes. Ambience is excellent. Service could be improved - wait staff come when requested but not quickly, do not demonstrate initiative (soup with spoons, ask how many spoons despite all guests seated and obviously sharing) and service lacks warmth or friendliness. Prices are on high side for food, but overall bill gets significantly increased when add their attractive teas to the order.
The food was fairly good, but the service was not that up to standard, considering they had such good reputation online and we were recommended to the place by my other group of friends. We were there with intentions to celebrate my friend's birthday but the service was lacking, the wait for food was a little long and considering that there wasn't quite a crowd on a Saturday. 1 minor incident was that this server swiped a chair off our table without first even asking if we needed the chair though yes it was left empty but I think it was only polite to ask before doing that.
Arteastiq is a wonderful tea spot. Our teas were flavourful and robust. We especially enjoyed the sour plum tea and it definitely stole the show. The ginger chai was great as well. The desserts are amazing, with the crepe and Tiramisu stealing the show. We will definitely be back when we visit Singapore again
Fantastic experience. I highly recommend high tea. It's delicious, very good quality and value for money. It looks as if the quantity is not much but then when you actually eat it, it is quite all right. You can also combine it with other dishes, we tried the fritatta and it was ok.
Food is okay. Price is a little dear for its soup's portion. Beef with foie gras is tasty; thou' requested for MW it came pretty bloody & had to Ask to hv it more cooked. The open concept kitchen will leave some lingering smell on our attire & hair. I was a little concern about the dust on the lightings though... It's time for spring cleaning. Service is alright. Will come to try its hi-tea the next time.
Unique selection of Mar"tea"ni, tastes good with the right amount of alcohol. The duck confit was quite tasty and portion was ok for the price. Would be good if we were informed upfront that the dish would take awhile, as we ordered 2 mains and they were served at least 10 minutes apart. Nice ambience and polite staff, would return again.
The ambience was quite nice and the service was good. The seafood soup was rather tasty although the mushrooms overpower the seafood in the soup. The salad was quite strange as it was mainly black rice and pomelo. The ink squid pasta was quite delicious but the cod fish tasted quite normal. The dessert of the day was white chocolate cake and it was really good! I would love to come back for its desserts.
