Love the option of having the Chef’s pick of 3 course meal - every dish was a good surprise!
Great food and intelligent, TOP class service from Don and Darryl. All in all, a most enjoyable restaurant experience. Great to see people enjoying their work and excelling at customer service.
I enjoyed the good food menu offered with sufficient quantity. It is value for money. I love the bread served, so fresh each time. And the location is convenient.
We enjoyed the comfy ambience and good service. The beef cheek was really good but found the duck confit a little too salty for our liking.
Excellent service! We loved the duck confit, beef cheeks, ratatouille, and onion soup! The desserts were stellar and were the perfect ending to our dinner: I highly recommend the apple tart with caramel ice cream, chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream, and creme brulee! :)
We liked the atmosphere and most importantly the food. We found the soups alittle lackluster, but the entrees and mains - the steaks and scallops were standout hits for us. Pricing is relatively wallet friendly by Les Amis Group standards, so we will definitely be coming back!
Nice ambience. Food was average. Although Bouillabaisse was packed with seafood, broth was lack of strong flavour. Duck confit was a bit too salty for my taste bud. Service was good.
Bistro du Vin offers some of the best French cuisine in Singapore, serving a tantalising collection of dishes that are suitable for casual dining and group gatherings.
No frills and prompt service. Waitress was friendly and efficient.
A cozy and authentic place ~ the bistro has a real charm and vibe. The food is divine. The staff are well trained and they understand the meaning of hospitality. I like how Philippe interacted with us and other customers. This is a place which sits itself above the standard of many restaurants in Singapore which can be fancy but soulless. Highly recommended.
Waiter was energetic and service was excellent. The food was excellent, especially the foie gras starter and the duck leg confit. Will return to try the other mains!
Was expecting a good value meal as usual. Surprised that the duck confeit is as salty as Hk smoked duck. The response after my feedback is even more surprising - a. It is usually salty b. After I reject that as common - feedback is done to the cook - ie. Noted (and no further explanation or pacifying or comments) Was it expected or I over expected?
I had a great time dinning at Bistro du vin-shaw house. Awesome French cuisine! Love the wine list selection. The duck confit and beef cheek stew main courses are a must to try !
Highly overrated. The only thing authentic French Parisian bistro was the decor. Food was awful. Smoked Duck Salad had no dressing and the lettuce looked like it had been cut many hours ago. Shabby. Ribeye steak was poor quality meat. Don’t expect such poor quality at these prices. The only saving grace were the French fries and the creme brûlée.
Awesome meal as always. A must visit every Christmas (or when you feel like it)! French onion soup, the duck confit, the 72% dark chocolate mousse ultra yum and are must orders!
good food, good service. authentic french cuisine. my family and i love it.
Normally interesting 3-item menu has become less exciting. Less than half of the items were available without upcharge resulting in a relatively expensive lunch if you choose anything outside the lowest cost options. Food was tasty and service was very good but the menu and pricing scheme don't encourage frequent visits.
It was our early Christmas Dinner. The Chef's 4 course meal was memorable with the chef coming out himself to ask our diet preferences and make wine recommendations. The passion for food really came out in the food and service. Bravo!
Good service and their staff do know what is on the specials board. Would love to be back again to try other items on their usual menu.
Good food, casual setting, right in center of Orchard. A bit pricey but something that I will go to once in a while. If I have to pick something French, they always come up as a top choice
A great place for gathering with friends. 👍Good food, good ambience, good service. Will definitely visit again. 👍 👍 😍 😋 👏 😍 👏 👍
Great food, great service, lovely ambience. Like stepping into a pause from the outside world. Perfect for long lunches with a best girlfriend. Highly recommended.
Cosy French restaurant, good place to spend an afternoon with family. Attentive service, quality ingredients used. Portions generous enough. Enjoyed the foie gras and beef cheeks.
Bistro du Vin has been my favorite traditional French bistro in Singapore for many years. Excellent dishes and consistent service. Never fails to impress. Keep it up BdV!
Awesome service awesome food awesome wine. Very accomodating and has been my go to restaurant for french for a long time. The specials on the board are always what i lool forward to other than the classics
Bistro was not well prepared or suited for gluten intolerant guests. Options were quite limited. Food quality was good, but service was a little slow.
Very Good . My bosses and our overseas guests like the food and services. It is a good place for business dinner , lunch and gathering.
This was a great place for a relaxed meal despite it being so busy. Staff were attentive and the food was good. However is not quiet as the restaurant is always full so can be quite noisy.
Good food, attentive staff and prompt service. Will come back.
Little bit noisy -however the food was very good as was the service.
BDV is a nice small restaurant with delicious French food!
Great food and great service. The waiter knows the menu well, and able to recommend us on what he thinks we will like after talking to us, and the food and desserts turn out to be perfect for us on the taste & portion.
Need butter knife and better cutlery. Food is normal. Confit duck is terrible. Alaska dessert is weird. Wine is the worse. Overrated and much overpriced.
Reasonable lunch course menu, 3 dishes for SGD35++. I highly recommend to visit for early lunch because after 1pm it was almost full packed. Very friendly and gentle staff and lovely place.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. 2nd visit and will go back again. Good place to relax and enjoy a dinner with friends, family or business colleagues
Food was well prepared, flexibility to change dishes from the standard course to those on the ala carte menu by topping up extra money if require. Service was notable especially Don who was humorous, attentive and professional.
Good ambiance and honest French fare. Fois Gras with figs Terrine (daily special) was excellent and the steak tartare well made with right amount of spice and crisp fries. Good wine list with a couple of ok priced Rhone bottles below sgd100.
A return customer that was a little disappointed this time. The food was not as good as the previous visits. Will give it another try again just to reaffirm if i would return again.
Food was disappointing went there for a birthday celebration thinking that it would be a great experience. Used to be good about 6 months back.
Nice food!! The waiter also very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended all the popular dishes. The foie gras and creme brulee are delectable. Ambience is totally Parisian, love it a lot.
Food was good as usual but bread was dry and taste not as good as before. The service was very rushing to clear the plate before we finish eating.
The set lunch menu is really value for money, huge portions for the price paid. Excellent service and food. Will be back for dinner soon!
Value for money set lunches. Generous portions. Food a bit on the salty side - salmon tartar and homemade sausage. Service was prompt. Staff were attentive.
I ordered the 2-course lunch set. The sea bass main was very fresh and delightful. The french onion soup with cheese was rich and tasty. I received warm and unintrusive service from the staff throughout. A wonderful dining experience.
Waiter was attentive. French onion soup and stewed chicken were good. But the lobster tail risotto was a bit too hard. will definitely come back to try out other dishes.
Food was good but the service was excellent - we needed to have a quick dinner because we were catching a performance at 8 - the lovely waiter was really kind and booked us a taxi so we wouldn't have to wait around for one - will definitely go back!
Excellent service with wonderful food. Came down for an early dinner and had a wonderful experience at Bistro Du Vin. Looking forward to coming for another visit
The Service was fantastic and the food is always good! Highly recommend this restaurant. Especially if you have a special day to celebrate. The service was always there without being too intrusive.
Value for money. Food portion is justifiable and set menu include coffee and tea. Food presentation is beautiful and charming. Service are excellent as well.
Starters Escargot and French Onion soup. Steak and duck confit for mains. Highly recommend the steak but duck confit is a bit salty n tough for me. Dessert was a perfect Soufflé! Overall Great food and humorous waiter . Will go back again
