Standard has dropped since last visit. Food wasn’t as amazing as before. Still a good intro to French cuisine.
Both the duck confit and Iberico pork dishes that we had were fantastic! Staffs are friendly and the service was good.
Food was delicious as usual and what’s great is that the set lunch menu is constantly changed. Service was attentive, thumbs up for the staff
Very authentic classic French cooking with fresh ingredients and good attentive service. The fish was as fresh as it comes with Turbot as a special when we visited.
Great services as usual. However we prefer the zion road outlet as there is Al fresco option. But otherwise a delight to dine as always
Food was not so much of wow, just ok. Ordered the beef cheek, which was just like what I had tasted elsewhere. I find it was a bit dry. Ordered this rock salmon dish and it turn out to be some kind of small shark! Blame it on my lack of fish knowledge.
From the start to dessert everything was well prepared and delicious. French melon and Bayonne ham, sea bass filet well cooked and pêche Melba very refreshing. The soufflé also delicious. Duck filet as well. A nice atmosphere and service perfect time.
Great food, my go to French restaurant with my hubby!
Wonderful food and drinks at reasonable prices and nice atmosphere
I have always loved the visits to Bistro Du Vin. They serve simple but delicious food, provide good and attentive service. The place has excellent ambience for a dinner date or a small group hangout. Recommended :)
I ate lunch course. I was satisfied with food, price, and atmosphere.
One of the few places in Singapore to get quality French food in this kind of price range.
Loved the ambience and it's really not bad steaks for the price. We spent abt $80 per person for 5 mains, 2 sides, 2 bottles of red wines, 1 foie gras
It was a lunch with my family... everyone loves the food .. staff were patient and friendly despite it was on a busy lunch ...
Was a wonderful, rustic experience - great food and service, had a lovely Mother's Day dinner celebration! Will definitely be back for more - slightly pricey, but worth saving up for.
This has become our favourite place for a romantic dinner
french bistro food and atmosphere in SG! consistent every tj.e
Slightly ex for beef @ $46++. Ordered duck confetti n portion was tiny n damn salty to be eaten on its own, gd thing was we were allowed to change to another main at no cost. Beef cheeks was v tender, truffles fries was nice. With $20 discount for scb cardholder, pretty decent deal guess
Service was really average. Would definitely expected higher service standard for such reputed restaurant. Staff was uninterested and could not facilitate specific needs. Staffs do not know the differences between vegetarian and vegan. One of our guests is vegan. Sadly and surprisingly, nothing could be adjusted or made to fit her dietary preference. Our Vegan guest ended up eating only plain bread, side dishes (Veg Stew, French beans).
We had a delicious meal at Bistro Du Vin. We enjoyed our lunch of specials of the day. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely go back again!
Tried the promotional items and absolutely love them! For starters, my family shared a plate of asparagus served with mousseline sauce. I had a bowl of asparagus soup and the pithivier containing a mixture of different meats and spinach, accompanied with salad. A nice balance of meat and vegetable that left me satisfied. For dessert, I had a dark chocolate mousse which was soft, creamy and delectable with a good amount of bitterness and richness in it. My only quibble was the truffle mash potato. I loved it ever since the 1st time I tried it years ago due to the strong aroma and flavour of truffle. This time, however, was missing its usual aroma, though the flavour remained. I missed the aroma of truffle that was strong enough to reach the neighbouring tables (it was what led me to order it the very 1st time). So I was disappointed in that particular dish. I will definitely return to dine in again in future, but I will probably skip the truffle mash next time. My memory of the truffle mash of yesteryear is probably what will remain of it.
Loved the food. Prompt service as well. Excellent job to the team !
Amazing food and prompt service. Am always impressed with the quality of the food. We ordered 2 three-course set meals and we were extremely full from our entrees of french onion soup and fois gras, mains of duck confit and sea bream and desserts of strawberry melba ice cream and creme brulee. Love the new pictures they have put up for decor as well. :)
Love the food and the portion was just nice. The ambience was comfortable for a cosy chat over yummy meal! Would definitely come back for more.
Classic French food. Relax bistro environment. Great value and good for casual dates.
Great Ambience, Customer Service & Food. I can't ask for more. Memorable event to celebrate my wife's birthday. Will return back soon. Their lunch set menu is affordable.
Service was good and attentive. Food was alright. Duck confit too salty. Foie gras was good. Bistro atmosphere was enjoyable. Nice place for business lunch or ladies get togather.
Good food and good service overall. Just a few points. 1. Oddly, the bread basket was served nicely warmed, but the toast points for the four grams terrine were cold and limp. 2. One of the waiters poured cold water into my wife’s glass of warm water. Honest mistake, no fuss. But instead of a quick apology and checking if it’s ok, he simply whisked off the glass and replaced it with warm water without a word. Rather puzzling and not very friendly. 3. The steak’s nice but sliced rather thin. Good effort to make it medium rare tender, but at this thinness you’ll get no rarer than medium-well. Still, a pleasant and lovely lunch for my wife’s birthday. Kudos to the waitresses for their attentive service.
The seatings in this restaurant are too close and not condusive for business meetings. The food is average , at least for the sea bream that i ordered. Set menu is reasonably priced and serving size is just right for small eaters.
The soufflé and foie gras was good. But the lamb was somewhat over cooked as I requested for it to be done medium. Still I would recommend to this French restaurant!
Good place to have lunch and enjoy the good food
Onion soup Portion became a little smaller.. It was much better before.. The dessert is very good though & the boss is friendly.. Still satisfied overall..
Wonderful food. Great ambience. Very attentive staff. A great evening for all in our table. The roast duck, was delicious- good recommendation by the waiter. Hope it reappears on the specials.
food and service were good - portions were more than sufficient and i do love the salt cod. staff were terribly friendly too! would definitely go again :-)
Food at the restaurant was nice and service was good. Though we forgot the closing time at 2pm, they allowed us to sit and finish our food without rushing us unlike other place. Nice:)
Good! Nice and cosy environment. The food was yummy but the price is a little steep. The service was pleasant.
Enjoyed the food very much . Especially the beef cheeks. They are the best . Portion is good too.
Well I have come back !!! Goes to show my favors on this restaurant!!!
Nice food and nice place/ ambience, strategically located in the heart of orchard road yet away from the hustle and bustle. Good and prompt service too.
I like to go to this restaurant where I can find typical french ambiance interior, good wines and great cooking that often change to create the surprise
It's a good place and food is delicious. Bread is yummy especially eat with vinegar and olive oil. I love the foie gras and dessert too
Restaurant was not willing to top up hot water for my tea. I’m surprised!
We love the food; the wine and the ambiance were great. The service staffs gave great recommendations and all turn out to be great too.
My go-to lunch place whenever I'm in need of a good, hearty French lunch.
The French Onion Soup has me going back again and again!
I find myself going back time and time again. Never fails to satisfy my French food cravings during lunch.
Excellent service and great food! The wait staff were more than happy to refill our bread baskets (that was the best tasting baguette I've had so far - no joke! Loved the beautiful crust!). Food portions were generous and my friends and I left with a happy stomach.
Great attentive service and the delicious food was excellent value for money. Loved the desserts too and would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
Overall, the quality of the food is great. If you love french food, this is a great place to explore. I love the scallops and black cod. Tried the highly raved souffle but I think it's overrated, had a very strong weird after taste. The texture was good though.
Foie gras was not bad except some dish like duck confit was a little salty. Lamb naravin was good. If only they serve lamb shank in red wine, it would be awesome.
