Food was very satisfactory and value for money. Ambience was a bit loud because of the table beside us but that’s not the fault of the restaurant

I keep coming back because my favourite Batten Yokatoh closed down and this is the closest I've found in terms of similar food items. I love the skewers here but sadly the service can be quite horrible depending on who's serving you.

Yakitori is grilled to perfect. Crispy chicken skin, tender chicken hearts and liver. Service staff was polite and attentive. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Go-to yakitori joint whenever I’m craving it. Understand the one drink policy, but the tea should at the very least be refillable for the price being charged. Would only advise to go if the whole group is planning to drink alcohol, but great food otherwise.

yatagaratsu probably doesn’t need a review given that it is so popular. even on a tues evening the place was full. i always come back here after trying a few other yakitori restaurants and this place undoubtedly has the best tasting and value for money skewers. i feel they have also cut down on the salt as it used to be much saltier.

This is my favourite go-to izakaya. I love all the pork-wrapped skewers and the grilled onigiri especially. Bookings must be made at least a week or two in advance if you're trying to dine on weekends, else there will only be later timings at 8pm or 8.30pm left.

We are arranged at their 2nd outlet. Kudos to the waiters however the head chef that day was terrible in arranging orders. Our rice and chicken soup for the 3-year-old baby took 40 mins to be served, let alone the sticks. For the first 30 mins we got nothing served; In the subsequent 30 mins we got 3 pork rolls and all daily special dishes only, while we ordered ~30 yakiniku sticks.... Even the waiters were upset about the chef's arrangement and walked into the kitchen to help him.... I am a regular customer of theirs and this is the worst ever experience I had.

#1 restaurant of our choice for a great night out! Tried other izakayas in SG but nothing comes close. Menu might be a bit small for some people but done very very well then to have a 101 things in the menu but not nice. Good job!

Frankly this used to be one of my favorite yakitori place in Singapore. However today, the food takes too long (over an hour for the yakitoris) and unfortunately was too salty

The food is great but the waiting time for the food can be quite long. It took an hour for the restaurant to serve one skewer and a bowl of clam soup.

Second visit but first time on their “new” location, which is 6 units away from the original. We are a family of 4 adult diners. We ordered quite a few items, and the food was tasty and well grilled, but the kitchen and wait staff were not well-coordinated, we had missing items and waited a fairly long time for them to be served. All the orders are submitted via a QR menu, and when I finally checked with one of the waiters the items were already checked off as served on their end. They verified with the number of sticks that we had not been served our full order and asked which ones. While the organisation of the restaurant was wanting, the food was excellent. Hope they sort out this issue!

The staffs here weren’t rude but were clearly put in a tough spot by how the business is run. Our meal was constantly interrupted with order reminders, a strict time limit, and a minimum spend per person—charged in full even if not met. Instead of a relaxing evening, it felt rushed and transactional. For a place this strict, a call or WhatsApp upon booking confirmation—especially for a Friday night when working adults would like to unwind—highlighting these policies would be ideal. That way, customers can decide whether to proceed or cancel. Unfortunately, this low-quality approach to hospitality left no impression on the food and makes it a place I wouldn’t return to.
