About Tono Cevicheria

The first of its kind in Asia, Tono Cevicheria is a trailblazer in more ways than one. This Singapore Peruvian restaurant specialises in ceviche, a dish consisting of raw fish or seafood preserved using citrus juice and an array of herbs or spices. Lima-trained Latin American chefs create everything from fabulous cocktails to main courses including, of course, ceviche. Fresh, flavoursome and totally refreshing, this ceviche is simply out of this world. Make your way to Duo Galleria on Fraser Street near Bugis MRT station for an experience you won’t forget. ’Tono’ – the Peruvian slang for party – sets the bar high for the riot of flavours and textures you can expect at Singapore’s first-ever authentic Peruvian cevicheria. At Tono Cevicheria on Fraser Street in Bugis, you’ll enjoy ceviche made with fish of the highest quality, served to you in a setting that makes it easy to while away the hours. Usually comprising a mix of fish – sea bass for example – marinated for hours with key lime juice, corn, and ingredients like sweet potato or garlic, ceviche has many variations depending on the region it’s from.

Founded by Peruvian Chef Daniel Chavez Of OLA Cocina Del Mar, Tono Cevicheria dishes out Peruvian delights with a large dose of fun, happiness, and big-heartedness that its natives are typically known for. Whether it’s your first time trying ceviche or if it’s already your favourite dish, we’re certain that you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the selection here. We recommend taking a tasting platter which includes three different ceviches for you to sample, or opt for one you know you’ll love, like the signature Tono ceviche made with market fish, crispy baby calamari, smoked aji amarillo and tiger’s milk. We had a really good classic ceviche and seafood jalea. Beef anticuchos were very tasty and The environment is really nice. Highly recommended if you are looking for a mixed of flavors.

If reserved tables are allocated in the outdoor area, staff should inform customer prior or when checking on the booking confirmation. Food is generally interesting and great! Overall we enjoyed the experience!

2nd time at Tono. Service is friendly and food is absolutely fantastic. Really fresh seafood with bold flavours. Mains are excellent as well. Though pricey, you can get 1 for 1 dishes with Burpple Beyond. So definitely worth it. Will be back!

My husband and myself visited Tono Cevicheria while staying in Singapore for a week in September. From the moment we arrived it was just magic. The food, service and ambience all comes together as an easy going and the same time a really high quality, an excellent experience. Tono cevicheria delivers the most delicious ceviches ( the best i`ve ever had ) logo saltado ( with a sauce to die for ) and desserts ( i still look at the picture and remember ..). It`s a beautiful Peruvian cuisine experience with a modern touch. Just so refreshing!!! We were more than impressed. I LOOOOOVEEE Tono Cevicheria and wish i lived much much closer. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening here. The ambience is lively and still cosy when sitting inside and the food was simply delicious. We (2 ladies) were suggested to order 2 starters and 1 main to share. However, next time, I think 2 starters are enough for us as the portion is quite generous and also filling. We had the Tono Ceviche which was a delight. The Causa Lima with the soft shell crab was a bit of a let down after the wonderful ceviche. I think next time we will order 2 ceviches instead. We had the Plancha de Mariscos for main. I was getting quite full after the 2 starters so didn’t enjoy the main as much. It was tasty but nothing to shout out about. We wrapped up our meal with the butter Cookies and they were light and refreshing. The service was attentive and helpful. We would definitely return for the ceviche!

the food is fantastic and service rendered was timely. some points to note: 1. the first waiter asked if we would like still/sparkling. we gave our reply but was asked shortly by the 2nd guy whom we told that the ordered was given. the 2nd guy didn’t explain that the first guy couldn’t remember 2 still & 2 sparkling. why so? if he has got other orders and cannot remember, just pace it out a little. 2. we finished our food. one of the guy came to us with a bill and flower and we told him it wasn’t ours, because we haven’t asked it at all. it’s ok, despite the fact the it did make us feel a lil unwelcomed. 3. when we eventually asked for the bill, the guy came promptly. i’m not sure if we were supposed to ask if a flower came for all mothers, or that my mom didn’t look old enough or because he took my initial redirection of bill & flower as a sign of no flower required. we weren’t given any. maybe you can help clarify this point. once again, great food & prompt service. just unsure of the quality of service. Maybe we were deemed too cheapskate that resulted in the above points as we didn’t ordered a lot.

Scallop ceviche with sweet potato mash was tasty but tiny. Pork belly with gooseberry sauce was very good, interesting flavour combination and succulent, but could be cut into slightly smaller pieces. Seafood platter was also excellent, done just right. Service staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and the manager also stopped by to help with an issue we had. We had to top it off with a dessert, soursop gelato which was also done well with lots of interesting flavour combinations like vanilla and passion fruit. Expensive but top notch. Thank you again to the manager and his team, and compliments to the chef.

our first time having Peruvian food and totally loved it! every dish was well executed and you can tell that only quality ingredients were used. the service staff were friendly and knowledgeable - patiently answering our various questions on each Peruvian dish, and also promptly attending to any request. overall a very lovely dinner experience and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place to anyone!

This is my favorite new restaurant and I'll definitely return soon. The service was fast, efficient and thoughtful - my water and bread was always full. The ceviche was light, refreshing and flavorful with a spicy kick. The jalea was among the best I've had and has a light coating rounded with a pleasantly sour kick. I'll return and try other dishes soon.
