A bit pricey for the service. Quality of the food was ok. Better if they have some lunch deals.

The food was amazing - I had the pork loin tonkatsu and it was perfectly crispy, retaining its moisture! I also love the free-flow cabbage (which the staff is very prompt in offering!)

Amazing cheesy tonkatsu as usual, zero complaints! I asked for a quieter corner and they made sure to deliver. Staff were friendly and took the initiative to refill our tea without us having to ask, also offered us a top-up of our veggies. Love this place!

Easy, breezy family restaurant with generous portions. Food was okay overall, generally reasonable for the quality - we spent $180 for 6. Restaurant appears to have seen better days and feels slightly worn. Nice if you have kids and elderly parents who are not used to more adventurous food or for a very predictable Japanese meal at reasonable prices in a restaurant setting in Orchard.

Still one of the better katsu restaurants in town. Standards have been consistent over the many years it has been operating.

Surprisingly rather crowded at lunch! Tonkatsu is still good but not the bland ramen.

Great place for a katsudon lunch, get a seat at the front overlooking Ion for some views.

First time eating here and was impressed by the pork katsu with cheese. It was a little pricey but portions were filling with a very generous serving of vegetables and quality was great. The service was a little slow despite there being few patrons (due to Covid) but waitresses were friendly enough. Appreciate how the Ocha was free-flow as well. Will definitely revisit!

Tonkichi used to be my go to place for tonkatsu in Singapore, but the standard has clearly dropped and there are now many other better options around at a lower price.

Due to COVID19, restaurant seems to be quite empty as compared to previous times, yet service staff is not so attentive.

Frequently visit this place because the quality of food is consistent. Waitresses can afford to be a little more attentive because it's not very good to make your customers wave for attention for soooooo long.

Value for money and the food is simply amazing! The rice and cabbage are free flowing!!

Nice ambience with a nice view of Orchard and Scotts Road. They got pretty crowded at one point and service got a little slow because of that, but it was overall a good meal and time here :)

Always a joy to have tonkatsu here! This time went for the version with grated radish on the pork cutlet -- quite refreshing, probably one way to dial down the heaty effect of fried foods. Also, always have plenty of refillable finely cut cabbage drizzled in goma sauce for a more balanced diet :) And wash it all down with hot ocha. Oishii!
