The food, as usual, was wonderful ☺️ Service, however, could be better, as it was abit slow. We waited more than 10 min for our drinks, and had to remind the staff. I reckon they were short-handed as there were only a 3-4 servers.

The tonkatsu is well flavoured and crispy. I like the sauce they give with it. Savoury, bit of sweetness and a tinge of tartness. Balances out the creamy dressing for the cabbage salad. Tables are well spaced out in the restaurant and the decor is nicely done.

Tonkatsu flour coating was very thick partially. Not sure it was fried 2 times or inconsistent coating from beginning...

Service crew were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was spacious and bright. It was not crowded at 1pm. Our food delivery was very fast. Approximately within 8 min after ordering. Food tasted alright. However the sashimi was at room temperature. There was a lot of bones in Gindara!

Food is nice although seatings for couples are quite packed tightly which made the dining experience not as pleasant as those who got a bigger table. Food are great but the matcha was really bad though.

It's a repeat visit for me as I really like the food in this restaurant. Compared to my visit in June, it was less crowded and noisy this time, so bonus points for that. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly, and as always, the katsu did not disappoint. The only tiny issue that bothered me was how close the tables were arranged. We could hear the conversations on the tables either side of us, and I'm sure they could hear what we were talking about as well.

Excellent hire katsu as usual. Wanted a beer with lunch but no half pints available.

still the place to be for great tonkatsu! ;) I went lean today and got their hire katsu set - 3 thick, almost round, pieces of nicely battered and fried pork fillet; with the usual sides. yummy! no fats, for once lol

The food here is always great. I visit this restaurant quite regularly due to its food quality and prices are not exhorbitant.

My go-to item is the cheesy katsu and I love that the veg is free-flow. Much better than Ma Maison! Service is a hit or miss here, sometimes you have very friendly attentive staff while others are not that great.

Delicious meal with generous portions. We were seated promptly on arrival, and given it was a Saturday, it was pretty crowded. The noise levels in the restaurant made conversation difficult at first, as there were many families with kids around. The location was interesting, embedded inside a departmental store. We found it tricky to locate. Food-wise, the menu is more extensive than their Takashimaya outlet. The food was good quality, the meat was fresh. Although they offer free refills of the cabbage slaw, we were too full to have any top ups.
