Takumi

Takumi was having a special lunch set - the Takumi lunch set, just for the month of September. It cost us $23 (incl service charge + GST) and we got to enjoy a sampling of all the best stuff Takumi has to offer - Garlic rice, Udon, tempura, sashimi, inari sushi and saba! VERY worth it! I highly recommend this high quality lunch set to anyone who looking for variety or who can't decide what to order at Takumi.

Good ambience and prompt service by the waiters and waitress. Nice food and sake. One drawback is there was no complimentary parking given to diners.

Book with special request and get a nice privacy seat with nice view.. Great food and environment, pricely but worth with the ambient and nice fresh food.

The food is good, service was prompt and the environment was pleasant. I would recommend my family and friends to try their express set lunches which I think is value for money!

The restaurant was crowded. The food was good. I bought my Japanese customer there and he was happy with the food. The place was a bit small.

Food is fresh and good. Service can be improved, though staff are friendly and know their product well, towards the end of our dinning, the service was slow, we waited for quite a while to have out desserts.

There are real Japanese menus and taste. ( I'm Japanese ) Lunch menue is reasonable! In dinner time, there are good atmosphere and good landscapes.

Never disappointed with the quality of food every time I visited Takumi. Great food with great value. Will definitely come back again and sure will pass the words around

Great food, good service @ reasonable price. Always love their lunch set menus. Special lunch menu - unagi don was so delicious although it took quite some time to be served.

generally nice ambience and very well worth set lunches. however, the ventilation at the seats where we were seated wasn't very good and a few of us were sweating.

Very good food, good service. Loved the seasonal produce. Mostly, loved the fact that it's tugged away 'on a little island'. Takumi's a rare gem though i think housekeeping could be better (keeping clutter, i.e. Dishes, etc out of customers sight)

Nice atmosphere & good service. Price is reasonable and good quality of food. However the location is not convenient and it's better to drive there.

There's this flowing soba from bamboo stick that at a certain timing the guests would gather around the bamboo to catch the soba. Interesting concept and soba is tasty too. The ala carte menu is not very extensive and food is okay only.

The food is usually pretty good but service is lacking. Food for my table arrived at different timing and one meal took a lot longer than others, closer to 15mins which is not a good experience. This seem to be a perennial issue as it is not my first experience with bad service at Takumi

Fantastic service and food ! We went as a party of three, and I ordered the Omakase for my mother. She doesn't take beef or raw food, but the chef was very accommodating in preparing alternatives for her. The only downside is that for the grilled items (which we grilled ourselves), there were some ash that was expelled by the shichirin stove when some juices from the meat dripped on the charcoal, and some of the ash landed on our food. But otherwise, top-notch food and service.

Overall experience was good. However, requested for booth seat, but was told it's reserved. Was there from 12.30 - 2pm, and no one took the "reserved" seat.

Nice ambience, good authentic japanese food & loads of jap people. A little slow on the waiting time though. Definitely pricey so be prepared to spend.

The food is delicious and ambience are fantastic. Layout of the restaurant are very spacious. Chef and waiter are very friendly and attentive. Value for money and food quality is good too.

Good food and good service! Always order the negiroto set, excellent value for money. It comes with chawanmushi, tea and dessert. Unbeatable. Fantastic view too.

Limited range variety but food was delicious especially the secreto (pork) and scallop with urchin. Nice ambience, pricey but definitely worth the visit. Thumbs up

Restaurant ambience was very good for dinner. We were seated in a booth with cushions so it was a very comfortable and cozy affair. Overall, presentation of food was good and the taste was delicious. Food portions were also just nice. Dinner was also pricier than lunch so it might be better to come for lunch if you want to just enjoy good quality food. However, the restaurant has a Somen noodles event every Mon for the month of September so coming for that would be a very unique dining experience.

The food is good. Wasn't very romantic like I imagined, just a practical setup. The prices were affordable though and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the $, it's a fine place.

The food was awesome. The ambience was very nice, although it was a shame it was hazy when we went. And the service was good.

My family enjoyed the ambience and the food! Quality of the food is good. Service can however be improved a little As we had to have service staff do tea refills by asking a few times. Overall good quality and ok service.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant with great value for money express executive lunch. Had a fabulous lunch set. Must visit. Great ambience as well and my colleague and I really enjoyed the experience.

I had lunch at Takumi & wanted to redeem an e-coupon for a free drink but was told by the waitress that the coupon was only valid during dinner. I told her that it was not stated under the T&Cs of the coupon but she refused to honour it. Not a bg deal to me but felt that it did not reflect well on the restaurant & it showed that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them. The food was nice though.

Ladies' night promotion was fabulous! Love the idea of free flow alcohol drinks though I must say we didn't drink a lot! Food was equally wonderful! We ordered an additional ala carte seasonal fruits -- expensive! $24++ for a plate of fruits, but mind you, the sweetness and exquisite taste blows you away! Will definitely be back to try more of their food!

Pleasant environment and delicious food. Service was a little "cold". Good for business and family dining. Would certainly patronize again. Free parking would have been appreciated.

Enjoyed the dessert of maccha ice cream with azuki beans at end of the lunch course, even though the portion is small. Its just sufficient to complete the delicious meal!! Gochiso sama deshita! Reservation via quandoo is the best way to be assured of a table, convenient and efficient!

One of my favourite dining places. Great food great staffs The Tappanyaki smell is a bit overwhelming through. Highly recommended for Japanese food lovers and likes

Very Value for money express lunch set. Food quality is average. Nice and tranquil ambience. Suitable for group and family, both for lunch and dinner.

It was my third time visit. Still good mood, good service, well managed food. But the only thing I want you to do is make it back that lunch set!

A very good dining experience. The food is good and reasonable especially the sashimi platter. Although it is a long drive for me but the environment is worth the long drive.

The lunch set is goods with overall price and aervices .provided also the location is very nice as located in marine site that you can enjoy million dollar view too

Good food in a nice setting. The A5 premium wagyu beef sirloin is really good, possibly one of the best I ever eaten. However portions were small.
