It can get noisy during peak dining hours, nearer outside area would be better

The taste of the food is fantastic. The spice smells good but yet it is not over powering or too spicy. The mutton rendang, otah, ayam buah keluak and the durian penyet are my family's favourite.

Food is good and tasty. Liked the otah and chicken rendang. However, price is high. We were unfortunate there was a screaming kid at another table. The echoes in the dining room made his screams unbearable. We had to end our lunch early because of that.

Taste was good but I was disappointed with the seafood Sayur lodeh as it tasted very much like the other dish we ordered- dried laksa with prawns. Vegetables were soggy and the ambience was quite rushed.

The place was quiet and the food was good. The waiting was not for the seats as reservation was made but more for the food.

Stepping into straits nonya, a Nonya dining haven, feels like being transported into the heart of Peranakan heritage. The ambiance blends traditional decor with a modern touch, setting the perfect stage for a gastronomic journey through Nonya cuisine. we indulged in the iconic Ayam Buah Keluak. The chicken, simmered in a rich, nutty gravy, was tender, and the unique, bittersweet flavor of the buah keluak nut elevated the dish. This was paired with Ikan Assam Pedas, a tangy-spicy fish stew. The combination of tamarind and chili gave the dish a bold, zesty character, with the fish perfectly cooked to retain its moistness. Desserts were a feast for both the eyes and palate. The Ondeh Ondeh, glutinous rice balls filled with liquid palm sugar and coated in fresh coconut, burst with sweetness. Service was attentive and warm, with staff eager to explain the nuances of each dish. Do consider this restaurant for those seeking an authentic taste of Nonya cuisine. Whether you’re new to Peranakan flavors or a seasoned enthusiast, this restaurant offers a rich tapestry of flavors and textures that will leave you coming back for more.

Brought an overseas friend there to try some Peranakan food. Interestingly, my German friend commented how similar some of the dishes esp Itek Tim and Chap Chye were like to the childhood food she recalled her grandma making! We really enjoyed all the dishes eg Chap Chye, Ayam goreng, Kuei Pai Tee, and a soup each which came piping hot. Sambal belacan with lime was default condiment provided. Great service too.

A genuinely warm and delightful option for local peranakan flavours. Beats many other restaurants in town. Overseas guests seemed to enjoy the food!

We enjoyed a very tasty meal with 2 families. Portions are relatively small, which is beneficial for trying out more dishes though. Perhaps it was the CNY crowd that made the personnel slightly forgetful.

The food portion was ridiculously small. Chap chye is overly flavoured. Too salty with too much dried prawns. The rendang was only THREE TINY PIECES of chicken. Overall, is a disappointment

Food was nice but not as hot as it should be. Waiter should be more careful, his thumb was dipped into the food gravy when serving. Drinks serve need to be more consistency too. We ordered 2 drinks and the amount of water was quite different.
