The restaurant was very crowded even on weekday. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait 25 min to be seated. They just had us wait in queue like everyone else.

Food is of similar concept to the popular steamboat chain, hai di lao, except that it is much cheaper than what hai di lao offers. They have an individual hotpot selection, where customers can eat from their individual pot, but my group of friends went ahead with the big sharing pot option. Sauces selection was aplenty, which I enjoyed. Service was great. Knowing that we needed to accommodate more people, the service staff offered to combine tables to make our gathering a more cohesive one. However, what left me scarred was the hair that was found on the skin (and inner layers of skin) of the pork. The little strands of hair of the pork was not removed carefully. We ate one serving of pork without noticing because of our rumbling stomachs, but subsequently noticed the strands of unshaven black hair of the meat on our second serving. It left a hole in my appetite.

Lunchtime special (before 4pm) at SGD 9.90 ++ is great. I love the wide choice of sauces and condiments. Recommend to those who like vegetables and mushrooms. At that price, we are given choice of one meat or fish with a basket of veg and mushrooms and few fishballs.

Service was prompt despite restaurant running at almost capacity. Great that diners can choose to have 2 soup bases even for individual pots. Overall a value for money option for steamboat in Orchard.

It's great that you can choose to have 2 different types of soups! I had the collagen added to chicken soup and it was great. The fish and prawn glue (paste) was surprisingly fresh :) overall a pleasant dining experience!

Food was great. Good service too. Bad thing is that seating structure, will need to sit side by side with strangers which will make eating awkward n etc.

Went on new year Eve, Great service rendered despite the place is packed with customers. Price is very reasonable too less than $27 per pax and eat till very full

It's my second time here, previously at Jcube. Good service, food quality and hygiene in overall although full house and lack of manpower during the New Year holiday.

Overall happy with meal. Fish soup & chicken tonic soup were tasty. Mala soup was spicy. Ordered an extra portion of beef besides the set meal which was nice too.

Easy to order. Service good and rather fast. Food was great - portions just nice for 1 pax. The Lunch set is value for money.

The place is kind of cramp. Food was fine and the service is ok. The price was reasonable. Definitely should make reservation as it is very crowded.

My rservations was for 7.30pm however we were early. We waited asnthe waiteess told us the guests before us has not finished. The next update we got was they have finished but still talking, at that moment it was already passed my reservations by about 20minutes & we were asked to wait a little longer. It was poor handling of the situation, in the end i had to leave...hungry & disappointed.

Quite a different experience because u are facing someone else (strangers) while eating. Great place for kids as you get Free toys with minimum spending.

The seating arrangement is super weird. Unless you get those side tables. If you're an introvert like me and they give you the centre area where you face strangers while dinning. I say don't force yourself to order, just go for Shabu Sai which is on the next higher level!

Alacarte steamboat that have chicken collagen soup base. Top up of the soup base is chicken collagen cubes and not in liquid format. Overall great food and experience at reasonable price. Would recommend to all to try their chicken collagen soup base and also their meats, fresh and reasonable priced.

Nice restaurant , service is good. However the soup is very normal and ordinary. Taste very bland actually, they should make the stock thicker and more tasty

it was my second time visiting Shi Li Fang. tried the steamboat first time along and find the soup is nice so i bought along my husband this time. We ordered 4 types of soup this time . There was not enough of staff working that day. We had ordered quite alot of dishes and our table was very small and it was full of food . Need to request staff to place to the food on the container roller instead. Food potion is very little this time, which was quite disappointing compare to the first time and need to keep calling staff as all were busy as lack of workers that day.

There are not much variety in terms of food & soup base. The restaurant is not spacious. Limited place to put food. Service generally good.

Great food and service at an affordable price for the lunch time crowd. This is a rare find for the Orchard Road area. You wouldn't leave disappointed!

Love the tomato soup base. I believe they don't use msg to enhance their soup as I never feel thirsty after drinking pot loads of the soup.

Freshness of ingredients pretty decent. It's quite cramp and small at the orchard outlet. Weekday pricing very cheap coz u get 50% discount for some items.

The overall experience booking trough quandoo was fast and easy Shi Li Fang serve affordable steamboat too, favorite broth is the tomato and tonic chicken base.

Overall experience was ok. Unfortunately when the restaurant is pack we have to wait for about 10min for our repeated orders and soup base to be served and I realised some of the items is being overpriced.

Staff was polite. Tho food cannot really be compared w haidilao but it was really worth it for the price. Would def be back again.

Food was fresh but the service gotta improved because we were only served after waiting for quite some time and it took awhile for them to deliver the food.

The set meal was value for money! Would visit them again for their tomato and mala soup base!
