Shang Palace

This is a medium-sized restaurant that's beautifully decorated, although a bit dimly lit. The food is very good, but expect high prices, which is understandable for a place like this. The dim sum lunch menu has a good variety and quality is good, with fresh ingredients. Service, as with most restaurants in Singapore now, is less than ideal. The government's strict restrictions on foreign labour and the lack of Singaporeans who want to work in restaurants mean that dining establishments are desperate for workers and have to employ staff they normally would not hire. The Shangri-la tries to train them but service tends to be perfunctory and brusque, but efficient.

The waitress who served us was on her first day at the job. It was terrible and we had to ask for a change of server/waitress. Thereafter, normalcy resumed, and we enjoyed the Shang Palace food as always.

The restaurant was crowded and although the service was slow at some points, the staff were always smiling and helpful. The dim sum was pricey but of high quality. We spent about $100 for two pax.

Shang Palace always the best. love you!~~ We will always come back here. Good quality dim sum, good service, help warm up my baby's milk!

This is second time to visit. Taste is much better than before we visited but hospitality is not excellent. Especially bun's taste is very nice

Wonderful Birthday Celebration with my loved ones. Good food, great ambience and excellent service plus a complimentary birthday cake which made it more special:) Will visit again :)

Beautiful setting & Ambience in Restaurant! Service staff is very good. Presentation of food is superb and innovative. Highly recommended if you want to impress!

Nothing fantastic. The quality of the food is average, as compared to other similar type of restaurants in the region. Will try other outlets to compare.
