I went to this place for a farewell with my colleagues. I am impress by the service they provide and they are constantly looking out for their customers even they are quite understaffed. Quality of food is good for fine dining. Ambience is awesome, presentable for a corporate setting.

Food and service was excellent. Ambience was good. Spoilt by the next table guest who was talking far too loudly .. such a pity and the manager didn't bother to do anything

The ambiance was serene & lovely. The staff had a pleasant attitude & helpful. The wine and spirits were good and not very expensive. Tried a few starters & dishes and were good. Overall the visit was worth every dollar spent.

Great place for authentic thai cuisine. Friendly and attentive wait staff. The dishes tend to be quite spicy though, so great for spice lovers but for those that can't handle the heat, have to be a bit more selective.

Excellent food and service in this quiet restaurant tucked away in a corner of the third floor at Tanglin Mall. The dishes we tried over two separate visits were all excellent. Unlike many Thai restaurants in Singapore which tend to offer overseasoned dishes, the flavouring here was perfectly balanced and nothing was too sweet or salty. The menu offerings are also more interesting than what's usually found at other Thai restaurants. Dishes such as "Goong Sarong" (Spice-marinated golden-fried prawns wrapped in crispy filo pastry, served with pineapple and pickled cucumber salad), Nua Yanf Jim Jaew (Grilled Australian 300 days grain-fed beef tenderloin served with spicy tamarind sauce are delicious, and the Chor Muang appetiser is another stunning dish, with dumplings crafted into flower shapes coloured blue and stuffed with caramelised chicken, sweet turnip and peanut filling, and topped with coconut cream reduction. Service is professional and very pleasant and the decor is elegant and stylish. This is a gem of a place and my only hesitation about giving them a great review is that it might make the place more crowded and harder to get reservations!

We love it. My God Daughter from America was nothing but full of praise for the service we received. The food was just great, as usual.

Service was good but staff need to be trained to be able to speak more fluent English. Food was ok but not fine fine enough

I was satisfied with the portion size and the test of food. Service was bit slow in bringing the food but very fast in learning the plates even though dish was not completely finished

Service is slow, understaff, service staff is very rude. Food quality has deteriorated, everything was too salty, lost the authentic Thai cuisine taste. Will never go back , not worth the money spent, overpriced for the quality of food

Food was served cold or lukewarm (soup and beef). Beef was overdone. Papaya salad was limp and was not fresh. Service was ok but would expect it be better for a fine dining establishment.

Patara Thai offers very authentic Thai cuisine which is a rare find in Singapore. Price is on the high side compares to many other Thai restaurants, but is worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely go back again.

Almost all were quite nice. If there is more vegetable menu, seems much better. For the dessert it was authentic. But alcohol it seemed too sweet.

Starting out okay until the waitress cleaned up our table and thought we already finished when we were only finished our starters. I also had to ask the staff for bill twice because after the first request the staff acknowledge it but never deliver. 👎

Lovely place for a business lunch - on one end of Orchard Road, but away from the crowds. Food is delicious and beautifully presented-in traditional Thai style. Each individual fruit is beautifully carved! Wait staff attentive and knowledgeable.

Very friendly staff and nice food. Good overall dining experience, except that the staff keeps pushing for the privilege card sign up which can be a little annoying when you want to enjoy your private dinner.

The food was really tasty but the service was not so good. We were in the private seating area and the servers didn't check on us so it was hard to get their attention. Also, one of the servers split beer on a member of our party but only offered napkins as an apology.

The food tasted good but the portions were quite small. The plating of the desserts was impressive. The aircon was too cold and it gave us headaches.

Seriously the food isn't that fantastic for the price we have paid. This restaurant is really expensive in my opinion. Only four service staff for the whole restaurant that night but we can see that they are trying their best.

Never fail to disappoint. The soft shell crab with mango salad is very tasty. The dessert platter is expensive and under whelming. The pandan chicken is decent

Patara never fails to please. Our request for a window seat was readily acceded to. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. The decor is tasteful. The food was presented attractively and was delicious. It's a little pricey but it is a fine dining restaurant.

The food was simply Aroy (delicious). Pity there was no sticky rice mango but the alternative dessert (4 different sweets in iced coconut milk) was just as good. Service was excellent. Kudos to the sweet Thai speaking manageress/captain. My guest and I agree Patara deserves a repeat visit.

Taste of food was sofisticated and well-balanced. We really enjoyed it. (If you really love spicy foods, you may as well ask them to make the taste spicier.) Servers in this restaurant were personable and solicitous. Though we were in a private dining room (without extra charges), they served dishes, plates for sharing and drinks timely except once that I needed to ask them to pour our guest more wine once. In addtion, they gave us recommendation of menu and promotion suitable for us. I personally feel that this restaurant is one of the top-notch Thai cuisine restaurants in Singapore, even though it's not located in a convenient area and we need to use rest rooms in the common area of Tanglin mall.

Friday night, 7.45 pm. 2 people. Stand at the entrance but be prepared to wait a fair bit to be greeted. No worries. Then a not happy waitress will bring you to your table. All along unfriendly. Maybe she is feeling too stressed. Ordered 2 glasses of the house red, wine sour+corked. Changed promptly by other waitress. No worries. Starter served cold except deep fried prawns, hot and delicious. Ordered extra glass of house red, corked again. Cancelled order. No worries. Main course: duck curry super delicious. Chicken prawn stir fry tasteless. Bill please. Certainly no dessert. No need for extra disappointment. Total of bill $140 sgd for 2 people, for what was meant to be a relaxed and simple dinner. But was not. Compulsory service charge of close to $12 sgd means some staff can treat you the way they feel. It is a business transaction guys nothing else: I order, relax, eat, maybe enjoy and then I go. End of story. I am not in your restaurant for another purpose. If you want to offer good food and a good dining experience, improve your staff. Btw we went for a cocktail afterwards and we did enjoy it. Take care.
