A pleasant low key restaurant with reasonably priced small production wines from wineries in Australia and New Zealand. Solid food and excellent service. Good choice for a quiet evening out.

A very cozy and casual place to find nice selection of wines, especially new world wines. Prices of wines are reasonable as well! Staffs here are super friendly and helpful

Visited the place long time back but still remember this place for its wide range of Australian wines. Had a great dinner there this time out paired with wine which was recommended by the server and highly rated on the wine app. Place was filled as usual as it lives up to its name as a excellent place for group to chill with wine

Service staff are attentive and friendly. Cheese platter was good. Food is not so bad - price for food and wine affordable! We enjoyed a nice and quiet dinner

Maybe we were a little early but there was little light, dimness could be a plus for some though. And could be a little quiet (crowd-wise).

We love the pan fried hallumi cheese, complemented by Brussels sprouts with bacon, as well as fried calamaris. The red wine from Yarra Valley was light and refreshing, perfect for the evening.

Went for dinner at wine merchants on new year's eve. Great hospitality from the merchants. Wide seletion of food and excellent wine. Excellent place for gatherings.

It was my 3rd time returning to Merchants Wine. Glad that my friends like the place. One of the dish was a favourite for all of us, and that was the Truffle Fries. The Smoked Salmon pizza was almost matchable. Great team at Merchants Wine, and thank you Superman!

It was a pretty chill place to hang out in the duxton area. Okay priced wine and wide selection of it. Would come back again.

Didn’t know they have this service charge at $10/bottle . Used to frequent this place often but doubt will go back again . Food is expensive and felt that the $10 /bottle is not justifiable.

We got charged an additional $10 corkage for each bottle we had which was not made known to us beforehand. I don’t mind if they specify it upfront and highlighted it when we are ordering cos we will then factor it into our decision. I think it is very cheeky to try and charge corkage for bottles that we are buying from them to consume on the premises.

Overall good ambience and good wine. But main course left us much to be desired, especially the Triamisu which felt like gelatin with no taste.

Service started slow when the shop was empty, but fortunately improved when the place got busier. The wines seemed a bit pricey to me, so I thought it wasn't great value. Great music.

Always a pleasure to visit this place, a bottle of my fav Chardonay from Fermoy Estate, 2012 (Best consumed by 2017-2018) and cheese platter makes it a wonderful evening.
