Merchants Wine Cellar - Duxton Road

The restaurant/ bistro is overall is fine. My guest and I did have a good time there. We will probably revisit it again. Recommend for wine lover.

Good selection of wines. The variety of finger food is also good & of reasonable value and delicious. The place is a bit cramp though.

Centrally located. Good selection of wines. I thought the menu is a bit inadequate for people wanting a full meal. Plenty of snack though. The food tasted good but the portions of the platters are small. Price OK. We were looked after by a Suoerman fan (didn't catch his name) who was pleasant and treated us well. Full marks to him!

Wine was alright, food was average for it's price. Wings tasted a bit burnt. And service was terrible. Hardly anyone was around when we were trying to order, and kept getting interrupted by one guy who first tried hitting on my friend, then when failed, turned around and offended me.

the service team started out friendly at the beginning of the evening and service standard was good. however towards the latter part of the evening, we had to continuously ask for more water and despite my party ended up having 7 bottles of wine and relatively large amount of food, I would have thought that the attention rendered should have been better.

The meals were delivered quickly and the wine has very little mark up, so is very reasonable. The staff were able to let us taste any wine that was open which helped us make a good choice.

The food was amazing, the wine was delicious, music & ambiance were perfect. The service was also hands down, above average! Easily my favorite place to hang out after work.

They have great wines at affordable prices. Food is of good quality too. I especially love the Duck Rillette! Nice and quiet on a Sunday evening

Staff were friendly and hospitable. The ambience was pleasant and relaxing. Wonderful place to chill out on a Saturday night with friends. Food selection is a lot better than Joo Chiat branch.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the reasonably priced wines. The cheese platter was a delight. On the downside we felt that the service was a bit slow at times which needs to be improved but I would return.

Had a great night out at Merchant. We ordered 3 bottles of red, mixed platter and a tiramisu. Pretty good service and great ambience! Will definitely come back.

Great place, good wine and good service. Good for a quiet setting and chat with friends, recommended for wine lovers due to their huge selection of wines. Primarily, Aussie & NZ wines are sold, South African wines would be good :)

Food was very ordinary - the special meal did not not look like the photo in the email.. Music was good - place was empty.

staffs, foods and wine are awesome ! My fave dishes are garlic prawn,rib eye steak and cheese platter. All about to perfect, just only there is 1 toilet and Q is pretty long sometimes.

It has a great atmosphere and the selection of wine is superb! The staff are well versed with the wines and great recommendations were provided. Service is superb.

Great little gem in Duxton. Enjoy the brunch and the dinner. Picking out our bottle of sparkling wine is a plus and a great price.

Had lunch with a colleague. Great service and nice accommodating staff. We ordered a little more than what 2 people would eat and they joined another table for us.

Had a lovely sparkling Shiraz there paired with a delectable lamb shank. Love this cosy, unpretentious place which offers great wine. What made it even better was the personable and delightful service from all the staff there that night (25 Jan 2016). Thank you guys!
